bear with me this was just for photos on a spare protank so i diddent really try super hard to make it perfect but i wrap the coil on a mini screwdriver like so View attachment 252760 then i use the screwdriver to hold the coil in place as i trap the wires, then i check my ohms then i thread the cotton through the coil and leave just enough length to wrap around the cup so it fills the little reservoir View attachment 252758 (yeah yeah i was a little short i was in a hurry and had nieces and nephews everywhere wondering what uncle was doing)

then i pre moisten the cotton View attachment 252759 put it all together with a full tank and vape away no gurgles no flooding and no burning good luck and happy vaping

WOW - that is pretty interesting. I always cut the cotton short like the pre-built silica ones. I am gonna try this. BTW - do you put the metal rod and silicon cup back in the coil before putting the tank on?

You are such a girl!!

Knitting was my therapy for many years when I had programming overload. Unbeleivable as it might seem, not even reading got my head off my programming.
Knowing the basics a lanyard is very easy to make. I even made a small window to see the buttons ;)

its just a paranoid necrosis. i mean u smoked cigs for years, didnt worry about the cyanide and thousands of other chemicals, and now u worry about breathing in wet cotton that i cant see how their is any dust? people need to relax!

I demolish buildings and remove asbestos from buildings for a living...first rule of thumb: "keep it wet". Wet things don't become airborne. Many cigarette companies use cotton for the filter. Fun fact...years and years ago , Kent cigarettes came up with the "MicroFilter". They actually used asbestos to make it. So far, I've never heard of someone who quit smoking because the filter was dangerous. Relax folks, no need to arm the anti-vaping population with ideas.

I been wanting to make one for my vamo and svd with parachute cord - but cannot figure out how. I can make survival bracelets. Maybe you post a vid showing us how to make one....

I do feel like I should be boiling my cotton first since it is "treated" with hydrogen peroxide, but I think it's ok.

Actually no, it isn't ok. :) Hydrogen peroxide will actually release the nicotine that is already in your body and could make you OD if inhaled. Non smokers I have read that they should only use (not for ecigs) a certain grade of it in proper dosages but don't quote me on that, talk to your doctor first. :)

Hmmm, parachute cord would need a different technique, more like braiding nautical rope. Haven't done that in years! Lemme see if I can find the person that does... PM me so I have you located.

Here's a Turk's head. The beauty of it is that you can make it as wide as you want, and being self tightening doesn't need bottom. If you use 18650 you can thread it between the display and the telescopic part of the tube. Both ends get sown together and form the halyard. The weight of the SVD will tighten the knot and keep it between the display and the tube.
