I am not a DIY vapor. I buy my batteries, clearomizers and juice from an assortment of vendors.
I think I am going to start stock piling some hardware........but is there any point if I can't or shouldn't stock pile my juice?

I've been an avid vapor for 7 years now, but I have always just used up my supplies and then bought more. But now the hoarder mentality is starting to take hold.

Looking at the expiration dates on my latest batch of juice it seems like it might have about a 2 year shelf life. But I don't know if this FDA mess will even be resolved then.

What is everyone else doing?
Can juice be frozen to extend its expiration date?

Some suggestions please?

My juice comes with the nicotine already added. So would refrigeration be recommended to extend the shelf life?
Yes. The only thing you need to freeze is straight nic. I don't DIY but from everything I've read from some really good forum members, freezing nic is a must.

Another vote for refrigeration of pre-mixed liquids. Refrigeration will slow down the chemical changes that may cause a shift in flavor.

HOWEVER!!!

Please keep in mind that as good as the plastics used in e-liquid bottles are, there may be some flavor changes if anything funky in your fridge permeates the plastic. I wouldn't store them in the same drawer with your garlic, onions, and durian fruit, lol.

One of our moderators ran a year long test on the one and only e-liquid she enjoys. She put a bottle of it in her freezer straight from the mail. She took it out at one year, give or take a day or so. She said it tasted just like it would have had she just opened a freshly received bottle. I am thinking she said it was a NET e-liquid.

You may want to experiment with some of your favorite flavors and see how they react. That really is the only way to know for sure. You won't really know until you try.

@Sewnmachine - I know you said you don't DIY now. But, it's been suggested to quite a few others who also don't...to at least buy and store 1L of Nic base in your freezer now while it's still available to buy! There are many of us on the ECF who DIY now, and are helping many "newbies" learn how to do it, too. I'm sure there will always be many who will help others learn it in the future, as well.

The PG, VG, and a large variety of flavorings used for DIY will most likely always be available (since they're used for many other products as well). Tobacco flavorings may not be available, but fruity ones, dessert ones, creamy ones, etc. aren't likely to be unavailable. The Nic base is THE only thing necessary to "stash" for later use, in case you decide to DIY.

Just something to think about now, before you invest a bunch of $$ in eliquids that may not even be good after just a year or 2.

Just remember, expiration dates on juice are "shelf life" generally means kept out of direct sunlight but exposed to light, even just keeping it cool like in a fridge will extend its life substantially as it will help slow down the molecules however it may come in contact with gasses from things like fruits and veggies and some light.

My suggestion would be to store it in the fridge, put each bottle in quality ziplock freezer bags and store them in a box that will block out the light, this should extend their life at least a year beyond their bb date and prevent any contamination from food stuffs...
