Holes too big now :(

So I was reading about making the hole bigger on RM2. I didn't measure the hole size but made it bigger with a safety pin. WOW the metal is very soft

Now 2 of my RM2s have big holes and i don't like it. Well one is ok with 2.0 ohms on my Grand but the other is too airy on my Mini 2.1 with a 2.50 ohm coil.

Any way to make a big hole small again

Well...you can't un-ring a bell, however -- why don't you plug up the current hole then create a new, smaller one?

Not the prettiest of fixes, but you can also use scotch tape to partially block the hole.

dry it out and get the air duct tape and tape it on the inside. USe the same safetypin to poke through. Well, I guess you can do this with scotch tape too, but it might be too close to the coil and melt it.

I would like to plug the hole but what do i use? I might try some shiny silver duct tape on the out side. Hope that it works.

Silver solder works perfect considering it doesn't need much strength. Then you can just redrill the airhole the size you want or TRY and just put a single drop of solder to partially close the hole and wiggle it back open to the size you want.

Be suuuuuuper careful doing that. Make sure it's totally dry before using it. Superglue is toxic and emits toxic gas when heated just an fyi!! That is before it's completely set..

I have filled many atomizer holes with solder and re drilled them for folks that start messing about with the air intakes . Drop in in a padded envelope and send it to me all I ask is the return shipping

if you have time to mess about with soldering holes then you have time to mill an RM2 for me to fit my woodvil, since the killer clone on it is driving me barking mad!

Thanks Rob, it will be next week sometime. I will PM before i send it. I want the hole big on the one RM2 so i will just be sending in one to be fixed.

C'mon, just take the piece of gray duct tape(cut crookedly),slap it over part of the hole and smile over the trailer-trash repair you have made. If anyone notices it, look them right in the eye with a steely glare that dares them to criticize your repair job.
It'll work, trust me.
