My daughter (a PT) is married to a Physical Trainer. They are very "eat healthy" people. On special occasions they make chocolate chip cookies (store bought), and, when me & RW are there, we make Somemores by the fireplace.
They do tend to go to great effort not to have junk food around the house.
Five years ago, right after my daughter had their little girl, I sent them container of homemade goodies: Cookies (chocolate chip & kiss, sugar, raisin, peanut butter), peanut butter & chocolate nut fudge, coconut chocolate chip drops, peanut brittle, banana & pumpkin bread, party mix, dill weed crackers, blueberry & apple cinnamon muffins.
The following year, I didn’t and about a week before Xmas my daughter said it would really be nice if I continued to send.
Well that is what I’m doing today. Before Monday is over, I will have it all done and boxed up. A lot of work (RW loves it) but I find this a little comical.
Anyway, for whatever reason, am I the only one that does this for their adult children who are fully capable of doing it for themselves?

Not at all....my mom still makes up hampers for me every xmas with my favourite goodies in them(those chocolate disco/sprinkles)

Since having my own daughter i relaised very quickly that you never stop worrying bout your kids so i guess even now im fending for myself(and someone else!) she still worries bout me...its very thoughtful and sweet....when i get mine it reminds me of all the xmasses as a kid when "santa" got me the best present and put so much thought into making me happy : o)

its alot of work for you but it will never be forgotten!

Thats sweet. Even healthy eaters like a treat now and then!

My mom and I are the other way around. Well kinda.

We get together every year and make plates for family members and friends.

Fudge
Sugar cookies
Oatmeal chocolate cookies
Pecan brownies
Chocolate peanut butter drops
Rice crispie treats
Popcorn balls.
Banana Nut bread

This year we are taking it a step further and giving out bath, body and candles. Along with our sugar treats.
We did miss last year and actually got phone calls wondering when we would be by. Some wanted to update there addresses with us so we could find them! It was rather funny. We didn't realize how many people actually enjoyed our treats.
