I was sitting out back on a nice spring day, next to a weeping cherry tree that had just started to bloom. I breeze came along and I could actually smell the blossoms at a distance. I went out for a walk after dinner, that night, and when I came back a light wind carried the scent of a patch of grape hyacinths. I knelt and smelled them and almost fell over from how strong the smell was. Had you asked me last year(or any of the last 25 years) I'd have sworn that neither of those flowers had much of any smell. I'm looking forward to the rest of spring even more, now.

I know, isn't this great? I don't have to lean into things and take ten sniffs to figure out whether it smells good or not.

And flowers, I love flowers. We have more blooming flowers in both our front and backyard then the entire street. I can open up my front door and smell the flowers in the pot instantly. It's a great feeling to get back your sense of smell.

smelling everything has its drawbacks.

It definitely does. I do a fair bit of cycling and got stuck behind a garbage truck on the way up a pretty large hill the other day. That was disgusting -- working fairly hard to climb the hill and needing more oxygen, only to be sucking in vile garbage aromas.

The positives certainly outweigh the negatives though. I'm absolutely loving my newfound senses of smell and taste.

What I find hilarious is that the gum and cologne I used to think was an effective "cover" for the stink of smoke on your clothes and breath apparently only fools other smokers--who obviously wouldn't care anyway! Since I started vaping, however, I can pick out the smokers in a crowd.

Amazing and disgusting at the same time isn't it? It disgusts me to think that's what I smelled like LOL.

For the first time in years my sinuses are clearing up, the "infections" as the doc called them are going away. Not waking up in the middle of the night gagging and coughing anymore. Nose bleeds are subsiding rapidly. And I can actually take a deep breath and not cough. This is only after 8 days analog free...I can't wait to see the months ahead ;)

The flowers are in full bloom in my area, and yesterday was first time I REALLY noticed them. It really was a defining moment for me...with PV in hand, I've no intentions of ever looking back :)

Very odd, I pulled some old clothes out the other day thinking they were going to stink and they didnt. So I asked hubby if I smelled when I was smoking LOL> He said that I really didnt( and believe me he would have said so !) this is odd. the only thing I can think of is that I used a cig holder with a filter in it for years. It took most of the tar out.
I also didnt cough up a whole lot of stuff as most say they do.
I am wondering if that cig holder was a lot better idea then I realized.
Vaping is much much much better though!! I feel so much better!
