Home made atties is the topic. I bought a few male atty connectors recently and pulled apart some used Ce2's a friend sent me and have been thinking about making my own atty. Anyone else that has made anything I would love to see it. I was thinking of using some large flat washers for the base. Will document as I proceed, anyone else can as well.

Actually I like using 510 to 808 shorty adapters rather than standard atty bases because they allow you to have a screw connection instead of press fit.

Flavor was great! But, this morning (after a short vape last night, then sitting overnight) I'm finding an OFF-FLAVOR. I suspect the automotive electrical connector. Maybe not a good material for juice contact.

OK. Here's one I just threw together. It actually has really good vapor and flavor.



510/Ego adapter (or visa-versy), vivi-nova head (hacksawn short) and Kanger T3 "cap" with the center tube drilled out. Dual 3/64" air holes (opposing). Nextel wick and 28 Nichrome wire shoots ~.7Ω

Not sure if it counts as a home made atty, but you can disassemble a protank and use the base as a dripping atty.

Edit: just assembled one, I'll throw up pictures when I get the chance. Gotta finish this tank first! It essentially resembles something like the inside of a phoenix, with shorter wicks...

so, the protank guts are like the T3 guts, yes? I've now got this T3 ...., and (strangely) can't find my Ego-510 adapter anywhere . . . . . . . . . .

I'm looking at a picture of a T3 head, and while it could work, there's no cup for juice to sit/soak into wicks like the Protank has. You could find something to slide around it to drip into, if it seals with the grommet on the base.

Yeah anyone uing hardware parts, make sure you torch them because a lot of them have coatings or enamels that aren't healthy. I would say automotive would be galvanized, just a guess.
