Ok, may be needing some help here. After a day + with everything going perfectly, seems that it has all gone away. Wasn't having any problems with blind squonking and feeding the io6 atty, then this afternoon, after squonking, I get maybe 3 hits and this terrible dry hit, squonk the heck out of it, then the dry hit after only about 3 hits. Changed to a new Joye 1.5Ω atty, same thing. Don't know what happened. Tomorrow I am going to do a cleaning, paying special attention to the feeder tube, making sure it's not getting clogged up. If that doesn't fix things, I dunno, I'll need some more ideas. It's gotta be something simple and easy to fix.

What type of juice is it? Ex. PG/VG, flavor

Are these new atomizers or ones that have been used before? Did you ever Prime them? Have you taken the wick out of them yet? Do you notice that it's not squonking correctly?

Just wanted to ask some questions before I give my opinion on what you should do. Usually, I would say it's the wick since they usually leave a dry burnt flavor that's hard to get rid of but, there may be other factors that come into play as well.

Make sure the bottom of the feed tube isn't sitting flat against the bottom of the bottle. I had this issue with my Grand when I first got it. One judicious snip with a pair of scissors putting a bit of an angle on half of the bottom of the tube made it so it's impossible to 'vacuum' itself to the bottle.

The juice is a tobacco, vanilla, caramel, almond mix, 70/30 pg/vg.
The io6 atty has been in use for juice testing and is de-wicked, the joye is new and not de-wicked, forgot to do that.
Seems to be taking a lot more squonking than before.

I dunno, I tighten the cap fairly tight.

I had an issue similar to that. But my problem ended up being that when I topped off my bottle of juice, I didn't get the cap on tight enough, oops! So juice was only going part way up the tube, not all the way to the atty. Hopefully it is something easy like that for you too.

The tube is cut straight, and about 1/8" above the bottom of the bottle.

Yaeah, beings it is a used mini, maybe the tube up inside where I can't see is getting clogged, I'm hoping that's all it is.

Usually it it the tightness of the cap or the tube end getting stuck against the bottle. Take the door off and watch as you squonk it. See if you can see the juice moving up the tube. Loosen the cap some if you can't.

How tight do you tighten the cap? Do you tighten just till you feel some resistance against the o ring, or do you go tighter? I have been tightening down pretty good.

Just to where it starts to get tight. You can take the bottle off and atty and run water through the tubing. If water goes through you know it is not a block somewhere. I use a blunt tip syringe and shoot water up through the tube holding the REO upside down over the sink.

When I squonk, should I be seeing bubbles going up the tube? That would indicate air getting in, right?

You will see some bubbles at first, but then you should just see juice. It also helps to have the bottle full. As the level goes down you will need to squonk more.

I've always just snugged it up. I think thats why I've gone over a year and never had an O-ring issue.
The only thing over tightening will do is deform the o-ring IMO.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Ok, this morning took out the bottle, took the cap out, removed the 0-ring and rinsed everything, ran some warm water thru the tube with a syringe, dried and re-installed everything. Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but the world seems right at the moment, the earth is turning correctly on it's axis once again. I still cannot seem to squonk enough to get a slight gurgle in the atty when I draw on it, but after every few hits I squonk pretty firmly three times while taking dry hits, take a few hits and repeat. This is what is working for now anyway.

Sqounking shoud be a steady pressure on the bottle applied just once. Repeatingly pushing the bottle is counterproductive. A steady, one continous push on the bottle should give you as much juice as needed or too much. IF you have to push the bottle, release and then push again something is not right. When the bottle is full just a slight sqounk with little pressure is needed. As the juice lowers then a little more presure and/or time is needed to feed the atomizer.

With the Blind Squonk ( my prefered method ) You want to slightly I repeat just slightly press the bottle and hold it there. Then take a very quick hard pull (unfired) till you hear the slitest gurgle...

If your pressing hard and not getting a gurglle your not sucking hard enough So adjust your technique. LITE push and hold, QUICK HARD pull...

I also find with a burnt tasteing atty it could take sevral drags to get rid of the taste. Some it never goes away and the atty needs to go bye bye. Or youy can try cleaning and dry burning first, if you want...

One last thing I find that if you hold your mod closer to horizontal than vertical you''ll get less of a burnt taste. Give it try see what you think.

GOOD LUCK and let us know!!!!!!
