I think he was only speculating based on what these are listed for elsewhere. It has all the hallmarks of a price mistake, which is why I found it odd that they updated the listing from 5pack to 4pack without changing the price. Not sure why madvapes hasn't responded one way or another. Maybe they don't know what they're going to price them at yet. I'm not holding my breath on this one.

When i ordered on teusday they were listed as a 4 pack. I got shipped one.

Really?!?! Interesting. I'd been keeping my eyes on these daily and never saw them go in stock, or I would have ordered them. But someone must have gotten them at some point since a couple of reviews for the higher ohm version showed up on the site today, but those are probably from an earlier period when they had them in stock. Since there was no indication if or when these would ever be stocked after multiple queries I finally gave in yesterday afternoon and ordered some more CE2's from another vendor since I was too close to running out for comfort.

If I ordered a 4-pack and got only one I wouldn't be too thrilled either.

Now I see they are priced at $5.99 each

In all fairness, when I looked around a few days ago that was the going rate, which is why I was thinking price mistake from the outset.

I guess these latest and greatest clearos are supposed to perform better and last longer so the cartomizer is becoming less and less of a disposable item than it once was. My suspicion is that the manufacturers got to the point where they perfected the old ones and made them too durable for their own good, so the lifetime of a 5-pack went from days to weeks to months(in my case anyway). That couldn't have been a good thing for the manufacturers or the vendors. On the other hand, I've been very happy with the performance of the CE2 ultimates, and at $1.50-$2.00 each I'd rather have 5 than a single point of failure. I also don't need more capacity because I switch flavors constantly, so that's not a plus at all for me. In fact I prefer the regular .6 or .8ml size to the XL. They're getting harder and harder to find though so I expect I'll eventually be forced to migrate to these newer pricier alternatives.
