I am a hookah smoker but have recently discovered ecig mods. I have never used any but I have researched a few. What I am looking for is something that can produce huge clouds of vapor and lots of flavor. A few I have noticed that may fit the bill are the Vapage vmod, an eGo booster w/ eGo battery, a few others.. What it looks like is I need to get something with vv, i like the idea of a large capacity for liquid..

What can you guys recommend to me that would fit what I am looking for? Price is a factor.. I am all about a good deal.

I would have posted this in the Ask The Veterans area but I am not allowed to.

Thanks!

Huge clouds of vapor and flavor are a bit mutually exclusive. PG is thin and lets through flavor and nicotine's TH (and irritation) the best but makes thinner vapor. VG is thick and dulls/smooths everything PG lets through but makes thicker more persistent vapor. Note - hotter low resistance atomizers and cartomizers can make bigger drags/vapor but require batteries 450mah+ (i.e. not slim ecigs)

In stuffing cartomizers I use 80PG/20VG for good flow and drag and longer good use out of each carto

In a atomizer I use 20-50% VG juices

And for both, I avoid dark juices that leave a lot of flavoring sediment behind to clog things up

I would recommend juices with 0 nicotine in them (they exist) and also a juice that is comprised of at least 50% VG (all juices are either PG or VG, or a blend of both - PG's traits are thin; flavorful; and a little harsher on the throat - VG's traits are thick; lots of vapor; low in flavor).

As for a mod, you will want something running at least 5 volts and big batteries - My suggestion would be the GLV2 from great lakes vapor, but there are many different kinds out there. Do a lot of research.

If money is an issue, I would recommend a Boge Revolution v2.1. I warn you that I have only had mine for about a week. So I don't know how well it will hold up in the long run. But for now, it has certainly met my expectations. Eventually I would prefer to get or build a juice box that uses more standardized batteries and has variable voltage. But, like you, I will have to justify the expense. You might want to use a drip tip on cartomizers to get the vapor just a little bit cooler. (Nice combo) You will get plenty of good recommendations on this thread. In the long run, you may be better off not worrying about expense and ordering what you really want. That is if you know it. Good Luck!

I'm looking for a good hookah lol... Tried it for the first time couple weeks ago and this is after I started vaping. We asked the place if it was still lit because we were getting almost no smoke. All the while we are watching other people blow out plumes. It was apple and tasted horrible.. really weak, weird and almost plastic... bad choice I guess. You want to look for Turkish and Oriental flavors if you want hookah. Flavors like Desert Ship are really good but not for everyone.

As far as hookah goes, this is what I use.
Mya Colossus - a bit pricey but very well made.
Hose - Nammor hose - larger diameter, more smoke, easier draw..
Tobacco's - Al Fakher has been the all-time favorite for price/quality, Starbuzz is good but a bit more expensive, also Romman is good.
Coals - best are Coca Nara coals made from coconut shells - learning curve on these..
If you want to use instant lights I like the 3 kings brand 33mm.

That will get you started, I recommend Mya hookahs, even the smaller ones hit very well.
