To follow up a fellow Okie....
There isn't that high of a learning curve on cartos. After reading Batitudes blog on priming a carto, I've been off and running on DCTs ever since, no leaks, no burn outs, no rebuilding. Just put a little in, thermometer shake, a little more, another shake, etc. Takes 5 minutes and its good for several tanks, or a week or two.
If you care about your flavor, the cartos and Evods are the best delivery short of dripping, so it's worth it to work through the issues.
As others have stated, its either bad juice or a dry carto.

juice has got to be 99% of it. you can have the best equipment in the world, and if youve got crap juice, its going to taste like crap.

i havent tried a whole lot of juice companies yet, mostly i guess because once i tried Mount Baker Vapor, i was happy... but i can say that MOST of what i have tried (excluding MVB) was terrible. TERRIBLE! i took a chance about a week ago and tried a bottle from a local B&M and it was TERRIBLE. again i seem to like throwing away money. havent i learned yet? 8 bux in the garbage.

anyway, give MBV a try, they are gaining a lot of popularity and are one of the most inexpensive. i recommend Cinnamon Roll or Butterscotch to try. i also look at some of the polls here on this site, to see what the favorite juice compaines are, and Ahlusion, Heathers Heavenly Vapes, and Backwoods Brew seem to rank pretty high. these 3 are next on my list.

good luck on your search.

Very true. Lucky for me, my local shop mixes Wicked E-Liquid so it's good stuff. Not the best, but damn convenient if I don't have anything else. Heather's Heavenly Vapes is pretty awesome. In particular, their Gandalf, which is now Legend, is probably the best tobacco vape I've ever tried and many agree with me on that; and it's part of their purity line so it's 100% vg at start and they'll mix the ratio to your liking. I usually go between 50/50 and 80/20 vg/pv.

Thanks guys, the problem was my juice, my sh!tty sh!tty juice... I went to the vape store in town (amazed that I even have one) and they tried it out, they said it tasted like a hefty dose of nicotine but they were supposed to be 12mg. It burned their throats too. They had all their flavors available to taste test. So I picked out three that I liked and its wonderful now. So, now I have to figure out what to do with 40 bucks worth of sh!tty juice...

Now I've got a Horchatta variant, an Orange/pineapple/peach blend, and straight strawberry.

Your Flavors By Joe juice may need to be steeped some prior to tasting good as well. I'm happy you got juice you enjoy, but you may need to leave the yucky juice for a few weeks before it starts to taste good. In my experience vaping, I've run into juices that I didn't particularly care for, but very few that actually made me want to puke.

Every single one of them was like inhaling nyquil flavored sand paper, it was strange...

You could mix it in with good stuff a bit at a time. I have a "Marlboro" blend I don't care for so I use it in the mornings with a heavy dose of caramel mocha to cover it. My caramel mocha is really strong so I get to stretch it a long way by going like 75/25 with the Marlboro being the 75.

Yes taste is subjective but no juice should do what youve described. Did you contact the vendor and let them know your issue? I know that they cant take returns on certain items but if the nic content was way off then they could possibly give different juoce or a store credit. You should see if the local shop can test the nic level of your flavorz juices. Many things can affect how juice will taste nic content will dictate throat hit level. Pg vg ratio will affect flavor as well as your atty's ohms and voltage applied.
