Havent been smoking cigarettes since January 2014. :)

Had smoked half a pack of marlboro red every day for about 10 years, so proud of myself. But its amazing how much money is saved not buying cigarettes also :)

Started very modestly in the beginning buying a few green smoke batteries, and some blank cartos to fill up.

Recently though have pretty much retired the little batteries cuz I had a relative give me an old spinner 1 and a kanger pro tank and its much better... (bigger clouds) and since the bigger battery hits harder... I cut my nicotine level down to about 36 mg... was doing 48 in the green smokes LOL but tried it in the pro tank and was a bit much.

I been messin around making my own juices over the past month and I really wish I could of started mixin my own sooner. My uncle gave me some Loranns flavoring and some blunt tip syringes and told me to try ejuice me up. After some trial and error.... I think I got the hang of it... made a couple of bottles, one cherry loranns the other apple.... its amazing the juices I would buy for 20 bucks a pop arent much better than what I been making at home for about 20 cents! Im convinced though there is much better out there flavoring wise than loranns. Also uncle told me to get some koolada flavoring and it makes your throat/mouth numb sort of like a menthol but no aftertaste. Lot to explore/learn so figured I should join up this very active forum... Happy to be here :)

Hi Chris and welcome to ECF!

For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum .

You will not be able to post there until you get in your first 5 posts and the servers update at :25 past the hour. Make sure to read all the "stickies". Also check out the blogs by ECF members Hoosier, dannyv45 & Bill .

dannyv45 posted this thread a while ago. Recommended Reading For People New to DYI.

For a juice mixing calculator consider using eJuiceMeUp

Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

1. Flavor Arts (FA) - Pure Vapes has 3ml FlavourArt flavorings
2. The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) - The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
3. Inawera (IW) - Inawera - a few reviews
4. Hangsen - The Hangsen Thread
5. VapingZone (VZ) - New Super Concentrated Flavors & New Super Concentrated Flavors - Part 2

Thanks I appreciate it. I really thought making juices was much more involved. However over the holidays my uncle showed me how easy it was with e juice me up. I've only made juices with one flavor at a time up till now though... (Uncle gave me some Loranns Watermeleon, Strawberry and Cherry to start out with)

Really torn between what flavoring to buy next. I would like a really hot cinnamon with some kick and also a good french vanilla. Those probably my two favorite flavors that I have bought premade, and wanting to try my hand making my own. Almost bought some TFA Cinnamon Red Hot last night but dunno... Kind of curious to try some alcohol based flavoring as opposed to the PG just to see what the difference is...( I know the alcohol based needs to steep to allow evaporation etc ) Sort of interested in Nature's Flavorings too because of buying in bulk and natural obviously :)

Great place to learn because there is so much out there from batteries to mods, tanks, cartos, all types of flavorings.. can get overwhelming so just like I said hope to learn through reading but alot of DIY you really just need 1st hand experience I would examine. EjuiceMeUp is really easy to use at least... there are some advanced options still need to learn but very self explanatory even for newbs :)
