Thats what I needed a breakdown of everything. I started doing some research and came across the halo trinity kit? I cant check your links to see if that is the same as everything you had mentioned. But from what it said about it sounds close. I will def check those links out tomorrow morning. If the halo trinity kit is the same and you know off hand lmk what you think of that if you wouldnt mind. Youre very blunt and to the point. You have aLot of info and thats just what I needed. Again I will def check on those links. I did like the halo system but if thats still not right my apologies. Im not trying to waste anyones time. Thx for all that info.
QUOTE=pussifer;9206329]You want to get started off on the right foot? You want something that will be delicious, and will deliver the nicotine and throat hit you're after? Stop with the disposables, and stop using the "pen-size" or "mini" e-cigs. They're crap for what you're after.
You've heard "eGo" thrown around, but may not know what it means. An eGo battery (they come in MANY different sizes (read: lengths) and types) is the next step up from a pen-cig. They are more powerful, more versatile, and the charges last longer, all of which are things you will want, if you make the switch. When you start looking into this stuff (as you should, because the best research is that done by yourself), you will notice there are a lot of companies out there selling different types of eGos, and eGo clones (the knock-offs). Remember that, in this world, you get what you pay for, and it definitely pays off to spend the extra few bucks to get the nice stuff.
Now, as to my recommendations for your immediate purchases. Firstly, you'll need a battery (I actually recommend two, for backup in case one runs out of power/.....s the bed).
Here is a set of eGo batteries in the 1100 mAh size, and
here they are in the smaller 650 mAh size. Now, the mAh (or milli-amp hour) is a rating that denotes how much power the battery has, or more precisely, how long the battery will last on a single charge. There are other factors involved in battery life, but you'll come across all of those in your future research, and I won't expound upon it here as it's not really applicable to your situation (yet).
Second, you'll need some form of juice delivery system. You'll notice that in each link I provided, the batteries come with cases and chargers, as well as what is referred to as a "CE4 Clearomizer." A clearomizer is one method of juice delivery (which serves the purpose of getting the juice in contact with the heating coils (which the battery powers) in order to be vaporized and inhaled), but it is, in my humble opinion, the absolute WORST one out there. If you purchase either of those (or other) battery kits, you'll have them on hand to try yourself, but I DO recommend you also purchase a different system.
My recommended juice system? A cartomizer tank. You should be semi-familiar with the cartomizer (though in its sheistiest form) from your previous purchases: it's a hollow metal tube, with one open end, and one end that attaches to the battery, filled with a wicking material (usually Poly-fil), which surrounds a heating coil. There are many different types of these as well, but the main things to pay attention to (in this instance) is the battery connection type (almost always either 808 (bleh) or 510 (yay!)). You've heard 808 touted here, but I'll tell you, it's crap. Not that it performs badly (it absolutely doesn't; it's just a battery connection), but instead that it is outdated, and when you want to upgrade (which you will), it will not work with any serious equipment. Now to the "tank" aspect of a cartomizer tank: it is a tube (either plastic or glass) with two end caps, through which the cartomizer is threaded. (
Here is a video breaking it all down for you, and it even shows the best method of refilling them!) It holds an excessive (almost) amount of juice, so you can vape all day without worrying about having to refill the carto.
I swear by these, and have since the day I started. One of the best tank systems out there. And, even better, they're on sale right now! Get a couple three of them and be set for a while. You should also pick up a
5-pack of replacement cartomizers, because they will die on you, eventually, and you don't wanna have to wait on the mailman TOO often (don't worry, you will plenty with the juices)! Oh, and lastly (on this topic), you'll probably want something to make your batt/tank setup look nice and smooth, so head on over
here and pick up a cone/skirt to match (I tried to provide the perfect one in the link, but it may not work perfectly (these eGos are a bit confusing, even for me), so you may have to go out and find another, later on).
Now, to the last aspect of what you will need to get started, the juice. Or liquid. Or e-juice. Or e-liquid. Or Nicotine juice/liquid. It goes by many names...
Anyway, this will be your main ongoing expense (don't worry, even top-of-the-line juice is dirt cheap compared to the cheapest of cigarettes), and it's where you should really spend your money. It will take a while to find flavors that you love, and you will probably spend hours doing research on them, and it's all a very personal thing. But, what I can (and will) do here is provide you with a list of reputable juice vendors/makers, as well as a few other resources (oh, and there are also PLENTY of places to look right here on ECF). Here goes:
Juice Vendors/Makers:
*
Mt. Baker Vapors. The cheapest trustworthy guys and gals out there. Top-quality, bargain prices, every single bottle is made to order, and shipping is ridiculously fast. I just ordered a few bottles last Friday, got here today (I live in Louisville, and they're in FL somewhere). The worst thing about MBV? So many damn flavors to choose from. Seriously, it's a bit overwhelming. Like, over 200 and counting.
*
Mister E-Liquid. Good juices, good service, fast shipping, all at a good price. I keep a number of theirs in stock in my vaperoom.
*
The Vapor Chef. Another who makes each order, to order. Has some absolutely delicious vapes. (I recommend the Honey Pearry and the Hobbe's Blood, though the Unicorn Poop ain't bad, either!) Definitely a bit more expensive, but remember, you get what you pay for!
*
Ginger's E-Juice, Inc. Damn good juice. Can't say enough good things about it. Absolute top-quality. Expensive, but worth it, without a doubt.
All of these companies have nicotine available, in all their juices, in anywhere from 0 mg to 32-36 mg/mL. I'd recommend you keep the mixture of PG (propylene glycol) to VG (vegetable glycerine) at around 80/20 - 70/30, as that will keep the flavor kickin' and the throat hit like a freight train (which seems to be what you're after)!
Resources:
*
/r/electronic_cigarette. A reddit community of wonderful people who want to help you in any way they can. A bit more advanced than where you are now, but with a little research, you'll be able to understand what's going on, and get all sorts of great info (plus see some of the coolest rigs out there).
*
Spinfuel. An online magazine devoted to all things vaping. GREAT juice reviews, some of the best, most-reliable I've ever come across.
So, that's about it. With this info, you should be able to go out, get some good ...., and have a happy vaping experience. There are many things I did not go over, because you're just not ready for it. Yet. Get out there, do your research, and discover the wonderful world that is vaping. Safe clouds![/QUOTE]
