Hi everyone im krissie. Im new to ecigs and hoping I can get some help. I recently purchased the blu ecigs starter kit and what a complete joke for starters but im not willing to give up there. I usually smoke about 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day. I actually smoke sonoma reds because they seem stronger. Well the problem I have had with trying to find an ecig that will work for me is I don't know which strength I need. I tried calling local stores to see what they had in disposables but they are clueless. I recently found out that the blu is roughly 13-16 mg and I have to hir those really hard and a lot but when im done I still want to light up because it doesn't seem to fulfill my craving. Ive read where some people just mix their own and tbh im not ready for that quite yet. I do need something convenient. I have been looking at the vapor couture. I love the way they look and they have a higher nicotine level but not by much 18mg. But no way of sampling them first. They do have a 30 day guarantee. Anyway if any of you have tried those or can help with any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
To begin with, no one has asked you What you smoke at 1.5-2 packs per day (unless I missed that). The strength of the Cigarettes you smoke will help you to determine the mg level of Nicotine you should try. It is generally
not recommended to Vape over 24mg (Very High), and 18mg is the highest that many vendors sell pre-mixed. In general, 36mg and over is intended for DIY Mixing. Smoking 2 packs per day will effect what you find satisfying, too, as it's not just the Nicotine, but also the Hand-to-Mouth experience and habit.
Once you get away from Blu, and try something of higher quality, like an eGo, you may well find that 16/18mg is more satisfying.
Here is a
Chart that relates mg levels to Cigs.
You should also be aware that Flavors are an At-Your-Own-Risk kind of thing, so you'll want to do some research on
what's in the ones you try, if you do try them. Artificial Flavorings are the worst. Even though you may not want to DIY yet, you can study up on what goes into E-Liquids here, and learn about what to try to Avoid...
DIY E-Liquid
There are many high quality e-cigs out there, but this is a good place to start looking.
Joyetech electronic cigarette, Tank System, Changeable System, eVic, eRoll, eGo-C, eGo-T, 510-T, e-Liquid
There are several models to select from, depending on the Size and Shape you want. Also know that it is quite common to start with something like Blu, and move up the ladder into higher and higher quality e-cigs. I went from something similar to Blu, to the eGo-T, to the eVic.
Welcome to ECF and Vaping.

I hope this helps.
