I have a "Peachy Horchata" recipe that I first tried smaller, and then mixed a 60 ml batch. I personally LOVE the taste horchata puts in anything fruity, so...ymmv

Juicy peach 7%
Cantalope 7%
Rasberry 1%
Horchata 4%
Sweet Cream 1%

All flavors TFA. I started out with a recipe off of ejuicemeup calculator and then "modified" it to my preferences....it's really good, to me. Let me know if you try it!!! :)

Definately going to get the stuff to make this and try it out...thanks for posting it!

So Cal
Thanks for the explanation.

Having read all the links, I'm not particularly concerned - but I understand that ymmv! I abused my lungs for 40 years with cigarettes - and, yes, we all knew the damage they caused. In fact, all of us who smoked knew the risks and continued to smoke. It is, however, for reasons like these that I advise nonsmokers not to vape.

The Peachy Horchata recipe looks great!

I'm posting this here just for my records. But stylemaster2001 said horchata tastes good with anything fruity...here is what I did since I don't have a lot in term of variety yet on my flavors:

Horchata mix (makes 10.0ml)
5.0ml - VG Nic
4.2ml - PG
0.8ml - Horchata (8%)

Strawberries & Cream/Horchata mix (makes 10.0ml)
2.5ml - VG Nic
2.1ml - PG
0.4ml - Strawberries & Cream (8%)
Then add
5.0ml - Horchata mix

Orange Cream/Strawberries & Cream/Horchata mix (makes 10.0ml)
2.5ml - VG Nic
2.1ml - PG
0.4ml - Orange Cream (8%)
Then add
5.0ml - Strawberries & Cream/Horchata mix

I believe this makes a 2% Horchata 2% Strawberries & Cream 4% Orange Cream ratio once it is all mixed together.

This still has a horchata taste to it, but the strength is cut down and has a smoother hit to it. However, I have read that anything with fruit in it needs to steep, and these were just mixed and vaped...perhaps time will tell on this mix.

WOW! 50% Horchata? That's probably going to burn

No, the first horchata mix is 8%, when added to the second one it cuts it down to 4%. Finally when both are mixed with the third batch it is at 2%. I think it still needs some refining though. I'm placing an order next week for more flavorings and may try to cut it down even more with other fruits.

Whoops! Didn't read the mix part. Makes more sense now. Are you going to allow steeping before starting the next part of the recipe??

Dont go back to smoking :)

Hopefully the current research will help folks make their own informed decisions - for me - I eat things with coumarin daily, so im not so worried.

As for your horchata flavor - I got a lovely idea, do you have/like coconut flavors? I would imagine it could also go well with coconut and tfa vanilla cupcake :D

My uncle took my Horchata recipe and added coconut. WIN.

What I listed is what I have already done. So far I have 2.5ml of the entire mix in my tank. IMO, it is a smoother horchata flavor going by what I posted. The rest that remains in the bottle though I am going to let steep for 2 weeks and see what that does with the flavors of the fruits.

I'm so glad somebody asked this. I was excited to try the horchata base flavor but my sample tastes only like spices to me. Perhaps that is what "base" means, add your own milk/cream? Too bad they don't make a rice milk flavor. :)
I'm going to try the coconut, yum!!!

Health risks, whatever. Everything we consume/touch is a health risk. Pets are a health risk. Children are DEFINITELY a health risk. Alcohol is a health risk. Coffee is a health risk. WATER is a health risk. Sugar is a health risk. Too much spinach or kale is a health risk. Sex is a health risk. Exercise is a health risk. Leaving the house is a health risk. NOT leaving the house is a health risk. My point is, at some point we have to enjoy life and stop worrying about every little thing. If you want to vape a little coumarin or custard, use moderation. You are an adult capable of making decisions about your body. Unless you are allergic. In that case, stay away.
I got cancer before my 30's and I was fastidious about diet and exercise and a total germaphobe. Now I prefer to enjoy life, it is too short & unprecedented with too many monkey wrenches. If God wants to take me down because I inhaled some coumarin or custard, I'll laugh at his sense of humor on my way out.

Just made up 8% Horchata and 2% FA Fresh Cream - Horchata goes cloudy in the bottle? Going to steep it in the crockpot for a bit - by the smell, I put in too much Horchata LOL (I should have learned my lesson by now!)

Yeah Amanda, I'm afraid that one might just taste like a strong cinnamon cream after steeping....(my sister can "only" taste the cinnamon on my peach horchata recipe and that's at only 4 %!!

Okay Dolly, in that case I won't feel guilty posting my favorite use of Horchata. first of all, it IS only spices, and they're powerful. I gagged when I tried it plain, figured I'd only ever use tiny percents. Then one day I found that Horchata mixed with half as much TFA Sweet Cream makes it taste great! I know it sounds like an impossibly huge percent of Horchata, but you ought to try this:

Fruit Smoothie
6% TFA Horchata Base (really, trust me)
3% TFA Sweet Cream
4% total of fruit flavors

For the fruit flavors, these combos have been good to me:
any combo of peach, coconut, pineapple
mix of dark fruits, like raspberry, sweet strawberry, black cherry, blueberry...
lychee or dragonfruit with lime and watermelon (different and tasty combo, go light on lime, heavy on watermelon)
banana, coconut, orange

I know it takes guts to mix 6% Horchata, lol! Try the smallest batch you can, and I think you'll find this somehow comes together into something very tasty. Disclaimer: yeah, coumarin in Horchata, and custard notes in sweet cream

Haha, I started out with 10%. I'm STILL not opposed to 10%, but I go through it too fast... 8% is my compromise. It was one of the first flavors I ever used. I hardly mix ANYTHING at more than 4-5%, but horchata remains at 8%+. It's super good at high percents. Add a little Marshmallow, and some "cotton candy". Yums.

Do I need to get it out of the crockpot and put Marshmallow in it??? LOL
