New to vaping and the Forum. My very 1st setup was the Joytech Ego-c Twist kit with the CE4 Clearomizers.
The Very next dayI stopped by a local vape shop to up to look for a new tank. I ended up getting a Horizon Spartan Mini with 1.6 ohm RVC coil.
Absolutely love this tank. With nothing to compare it to This tank seemed to perform very well. No Leaks Coils are decent, very solid tank. The coils seem to last as long as most according to you tube reviews and posts on here. That being said I have been doing alot of browsing for new and different gear to try out. I recently got a Protank3 and a Aspire ViVi Nova. And after trying both I still like the Spartan the best.
What I would like to know is who out there use the Spartan/Trojan tanks? How do you like them and where do you get your coils from

Thanks All :vapor:[h=3][/h]

Hello sparky. Welcome. I got a spartan mini a few weeks ago and love it. I get replacement coils from my B&M for about 3 bucks apiece. There aren't many of us out there who use them and I don't think they're widely known about. After using various kangers including the mini protank 2 and wasting huge amounts of money on replacement coils I vowed never to buy another Kanger product. Since I've found the Horizon and a good rba I'm good for a long time. Enjoy the forum. Lots of great people and good information here.

I've got a Spartan Mini and it works great and I know two others at work that have them. I'm kind of surprised that more vendors don't sell them. I need to find a place that sells the o-rings for them though. If anyone knows, the information would be appreciated. The place that you bought the tank from also sells the larger Spartan tank (3.5 ml I think) that I haven't tried yet but probably will. I've had absolutely no problems with the mini. Your vendor also sells BVC coils that seem to work just fine.

I have been able to get the RVC and BDC's apart to attempt a rebuild but the coils seem to be pressed together and when I got them apart they were destroyed.
Good luck.
Would be nice of these replaceable coils could at least be re wicked. I have boiled mine in water and shook them around a bit but only get another day or so from them.
I have a couple of RVC's that I just cleaned and i'm trying dental picks to clean inside the coil. Hope ths might be a better clean to get more run time

I don't know this tank, but it seems to use coils similar to Aspire BVC. It's no surprise it works better than all those awful Kanger tanks from the last few years.

Glad to hear such a positive story about a non-Kanger product. I am down on all those Protanks and throwing good money after bad with those useless factory coils.

I started rebuilding for Protanks 18 months ago. Nice enough tanks, but the coils were dreadful. I used 50, maybe 80... I'm not sure. :)

I have used the Spartan BTC for almost a year. Love it, I also wish I could find a store that sells the o rings but here are a few tips on cleaning and extending coil life. I have 3 of them I switch out.

I boil all of it. Every day I rinse the tank with hot tap water and the flow at the bottom before filling it. I then take a qtip and push the small silver pin out of the bottom of the adjustable flow. Take the qtip and clean it really good. It takes a few qtips, they become saturated with water and old juice.

I then take the o rings out rinse all of them and take a qtip to the tube inside the tank.

On the weekend I take all my used coils , and tanks, rinse them out, take the pin out of the bottom of the flow and set them up in a small of an aluminum pan. Cover them with water and let them boil for about 5 minutes. Then I take the tanks out and place them on a paper towel to dry.

I let the coils and rings boil an additional 5 minutes then let them cool to warm in the hot water.

I take them out blow the water out, and gently clean them with a qtip. Dry out the tanks and flows with a qtip.

I can get about 3 to 4 additional uses out of the coils. This works for both types of coils, and the rings seat better.
