hi every one ,
i had a little problem with my ego t , ce4 clearomizor so i took it a part and cleaned it as watching a video in youtube, and after i put it back together and refilled it let the wick get soaked a little , i tasted a very weird taste omg its so horrible you want to puke your guts out .. its not a burned taste or metal its something from out of earth so horrible never in my life smelled or tasted something like it.
i am not sure what the problem is, if it was some water still there i did dry it out with a hairdryer and every thing was dry , was it my flesh taste i am not sure but i will buy some cotton balls from pharmacy and boil it today and make new strings and see what the hell is that problem.

also need to note the air is kinda hot , like super warm.

Hmmm, how's your water quality?
our country runes pure water from wells and rivers so we dont use chlor to clean it.

Pure water will not impart any flavour. How clean was the water you used? I use distilled water to flush my tanks.
If you were using the hair-dryer on the tank assembly I'd have a guess at the plastics being melted. Also check that the coil is situated properly it's not heating up some plastic part or silicon seal.
i will check on that

town water / well / river / bore water and even melted snow from a remote uninhabited unspoiled glacier is not clean in the chemical sense. I live in Australia and our town water is required (supposedly) to be purer than most bottled water manufactures specifications. and I still would not use it for the final flush cycles for my tanks.

All potable water supplies have trace minerals. Also it is possible for the water distribution network to develop a localised issue like pipes cracking and leaching minerals from soil (but not so badly as to justify the considerable cost of digging them up and repairing the section).

To rule out the water quality you would need to ensure your water was as chemically pure as possible. For purposes of vaping, distilled water is the best price / purity balance.

Sounds to me like your vaping water. Even after refilling the wicks will retain a lot of water. I notice this too after rinsing with tap water (I have well water). To me, until the water works out of the wick, it tastes like I'm vaping wet rocks, lol.

This is my thoughts too - steam with left over bits of what ever was in the clearo.

Wet wicks don't absorb e-liquid well

to ecf olymyoted. I use to clean mine with Everclear or cheap Vodka. If you ever once burn it, I don't think it is possible to get the nasty flavor out. Just replace coil. Good luck to you and happy vaping.

i now got some organic cotton and boiled it made nice strips and twisted the thin metal in it , set everything up and man the vapor is so much very nice, But ! that taste is still there even after i cleaned everything up and used a new wick but its going away little by little though i am not sure it will ever go away untill i buy a whole new clearo , the taste is like dry wall mixed with all the junk pieces in the yard with a little bit of flesh or nails burning smell . i hope no one ever taste this nightmare out.

You are right that a CE4 can be rebuilt, it's just more work than some would chose to do. I'm wondering if that taste is coming from a burnt insulator at the bottom of the clearo - sometimes when dry burning they break down. If it's brown in places, it may be causing this flavor problem. Good luck getting this figured out!

Likely you either had something on your hands that transferred or you burnt the Rubber insulator in the CE4. You cannot hurt a Silica Wick and can in fact burn them clean. Cotton, just replace.

Were you a Smoker? CE4 should cost less than a pack.
Do Not keep buying CE4's. If you want to stay cheap and have a true rebuildable Top wick Clearomizer, get a couple of CE5's and a few spare heads.
