Hosed by USPS and Bummed...

Noob here,

I was very much looking forward to my first experience vaping today as the plan was unfolding, and with anticipation mounting I was crushed as I peered into the mailbox Saturday, after our return from the Bowl Game, to find the package that was to be delivered Friday wasn't there. ...! My 2 orders of ejuice (mostly sample sizes) from a couple of vendors that were recommended on this forum were here, again, dirty words running through my mind. So I turn on the computer, check the tracking info to find a "missent" flag on my USPS tracking status, I'm now bumming for sure as I know Monday is now the earliest it will show up.

After lurking here for a few days, I purchased a "kit" that contained 2 eGo 650 batteries, 2 Vision CE4+ clearomizers, charging cable with a wall adapter and a case from recommended online vendors, price was actually good. From what I read this should be a decent intro into the vaping world.

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and thanks for all the great information available on this forum.

Oh, forgot to mention, I am a pack a day smoker currently, unfortunately for approximately thirty years, I am hoping to finally be able to break the cigarette habit once and for all. I really think this could work for me...

Lots of good information on here to help you along. One thing vaping is teaching me is patience! It takes way more planning than hitting a convenience store for a pack of smokes but it's worth it.

Wow, I know that feeling... That sucks... I had my first package sent and didn't realize it was Delivery Confirmation and I was the ONLY one that could sign for it cuz I missed the shipment... Took me two days to get my initial shipment from the post office. Hang in bud, you will get it and you will love it!

Thanks for the replies and the welcomes, on a positive note my main components not showing up gave some extra time reading through the forum. I'm now almost to the point of information overload, my brain hurts, ~

Unfortunately I can already see some serious tinkering in my near future, as a machinist it's unavoidable. I am already intrigued with the tank system and how they're made, looks for the most-part pretty straight forward. Maybe down the road, need to get used to a new way of doing things first.

I know where you're coming from. USPS has lost at least five packages of juice and gear. It's a shame they had to lose your first. Well good luck on your vaping journey!

USPS here in NYC sucks too. They haven't lost anything yet, but it always talks them a week longer than it should. UPS and FedEx are great here in NYC, and you can actually use their tracking info (USPS tracking info is always delayed. There's no "out for delivery" notation, just a "delivered" which gets posted a day after I've already received it.

Ok 1st battery on charger, 5 hrs (each) according to user manual? Guess it depends on how low they are? Anyway, now need to figure out how to fill my clearomizer(s) without messing up, lol...

I all fairness to USPS, for the most part, I have received pretty good service and generally do not worry about sending or receiving packages. But, there are those occasional flukes that get you when you least expect it,

Ok, we're in business, first thoughts were freckin' wow (cleaned up a bit), mucho vapor, actually feel it on inhale, taste... well...ok. I have up to this point smoked about my average daily amount and just ate so I'll give that some time but, all-in-all I am very pleased with my set-up, usually something just doesn't work as expected right off the bat, I'm diggin' it,

Also the whole assembly is not as big as I was starting to think it might end up being, 5-1/16 total length, again I'm pleased, this forum helped considerably when trying to decide what to buy...
