Hi all,

After a bit more than 2 months vaping I don't think I'll go back to cigarettes. I get my nicotine, and the taste is actually better than with smoking. Although... I guess for as long as I'm using tobacco flavour I'm probably not a proper vaper yet ;)

The only downside for me is the occasional superheated droplet landing on my tongue. Is there a way to get rid of that?

Thanks,
Peter

Hi, Peter. Congrats on the two months. And it doesn't matter what flavor you choose to vape.....there are lots of people who vape tobacco flavors. You're definitely a "proper vaper." I don't know about the hot juice on your tongue. Someone should be along who can help. I know that for me, if I vaped like I smoked, I sometimes got hot juice.....but if I took long, slow, deep draws, no hot juice. I had to give the atomizer time to actually vaporize all the juice in the chamber. So the secret to MY success was to slow down. But....I've been vaping for a long time (7 years) and when I was tweaking my style, the equipment was all different.

As JC mentioned, taking a Slower, Longer Draw vs a Faster, Short Draw usually Helps. Also lowering your Wattage can work.

What type of Set-Up/e-Liquid are you using?

BTW - Way to Go on 2 Months!

Hot juice in your mouth means you are flooding the coil. That can be from drawing too hard, drawing before the coil has began vaporizing juice or, too thin a juice for your style.

The first two can be fixed by changing what you do, the last one by getting higher VG content juice which is thicker.

... is that how bad it's got?

Oh, the stories I could tell.

If I had a $ for every vape shop owner that patronized me for having a plug and play rig in my hand with tobacco flavor before surprising them with something in my other pocket, I'd be a rich man.

Droplets? Hmm... depends on the hardware.

If you are using a wide bore rda with claptons etc... the coils can pop juice through that wide bore tip. Changing things on your build can help.
But we are all guessing unless you can tell us what you are vaping on.
To help the most, tell us:
The mod
The atomizer
the resistance and wattage if regulated
If rebuildable what coils.
If you know the VG and pg of your juice.

Welcome and glad you joined. Other suggestions may solve your problem. Could consider using a 510 long drip tip.

Uhhm, @Hightech Redneck,

I use a Pico Dual, that's the mod I guess, and the rest is what was supplied with it, it was a starter pack.
The atomizer imprint says 0.3 Ohm. The display says 0.26
The wattage is now 35. I also tried 50.

I'll have to look up the rest.
Thanks for now,
Peter

If it's the kit, then you have a Melo 3 tank.

As others stated, flooding the tank a bit can cause this, but so can bad wicking, and with factory coils, it can happen.

For the resistance (ohms), it's normal to be a bit off.. nothing abnormal for that.

Your wattage might be a bit low, which can cause this spitting as it's not vaporizing the liquid fast enough. Just play a bit, as for the 0.3ohm coil the range is 30w to 80w. I always suggest to stay about 5-10w below the max, so you should be able to go up to 70w without issues.

You should make sure that you are using wattage type coils. If you are using NI or TI coils, those are meant to be used in their respective Temp. control modes ONLY...

Never use a NI or TI coil in wattage mode.
