Hot/harsh draws from carto tank

I've been vaping using cartomizers for a few months now with no issues, but I just got my first cartomizer tank and I have a few questions about it. I'm using a pyrex glass tank that came with a double punched cartomizer. I primed it well, blew out the excess and after fumbling around with it a while managed to get it all put together.

For some reason when I vape it it feels rough on my lungs, and hotter than on a normal carto. I haven't tried the juice in a different carto yet, but I don't think that is the issue. It makes my lungs feel tighter and then after 3 or 4 deep breaths it will go away. I condom filled it and let it sit for a little while in the beginning, and I'm getting a good amount of vapor. It's crackling nicely like all my other cartos. Its with a kGo and a boge LR carto, which I've been using for months with no problems. The juice is 50/50.

Is there a different draw method when using a carto in a tank? I usually hold down the button for 1-2 sec, then draw on it lightly for 3-4 seconds. It seems like in this setup it's putting out more vapor in less time. Maybe its heating faster? Are you supposed to tilt it differently than a normal carto?

Also, any tips on how to fill a glass carto tank without spilling juice? I lost about 2ml putting it in the first time, when I tried to push the last ring on I had some leak out of the first one.

I'm not a expert but 50/50 might be to thick for the carto to feed well. I use a dremel tool and cut two slots and use 80/20 mix. Seems to work fine. I have a siam slim ss tank, not glass and use a plastic filler tip which works well. Big Daddy Vapor makes a plastic and ss filler tip.

If you fill the carto like a regular one (full saturation) before you fill the tank and this is happening then I don't think it's a problem of dry burning. Is it a single coil or dual coil carto? Dual's are hotter faster, don't require as much draw as the singles.

Do not take the top cap off to fill. Shove the carto down and to one side and fill around it. Do not fill the tank all the way to the top. Much better to get a tank tool and use it.
