Hot spring on GGTB

Hi,

Looking for some advice. My GGTB suddenly stopped working and when I took it apart to see what was wrong I burnt my fingers on the bottom spring.

As I wasn't sure what was wrong I thought I would try the old spring from my GGTS as that now use the safety use notepad. unfortunately the same thing occurred.

Any ideas what's wrong and how it can be fixed?

You have a short.... try a different atomizer the one your using is probobly bad.... also if you use adapters it may have gone bad...

Ok I've stopped over the cartomiser, changed the spring to my old GGTS one and after a lot of fiddling I've got it work. However the spring is still getting hot. Is that usual under normal use as I've never noticed that before?

GGTB cant be shorted, only if you put in it damaged adapter, damaged batteries, or damaged atomizer Jet

I've changed the cartomiser and given it a good clean. It's work ok now but can I ask if it's ok to use the spring from my GGTS in the GGTB and is it normal for the spring to get warm with use? It's just I've it's warm to the touch which I've not noticed before.

spring of GGTB is the same as the GGTS's spring Jet, so yes you can use it. If GG is working then its ok.

Make sure you aren't over tightening the posative connection on the atty connector either. If it is it can short out your cartos/attys and cause this.

I'd throw that battery in the Thames. If the spring got that hot I would have ZERO trust in it's operation.

Well I'm using Tenergy LifePo4 RCR123A batteries which I thought were pretty safe. Is the opinion that I should get rid of them?

Protected batteries have safeguards built in....but that doesn't eliminate risks. Whatever caused the problem a lot of energy when through the battery to heat the spring. Did it weaken the safeguards?...who knows. To me it's not worth a few bucks to have a possible accident a few inches from my face. Be safe
