Ok so I just decided I would like to have a GGTB. I have already made a pre-order for a GGTS. So some parts might be in common. I would like to know what other parts are NOT in common and I should buy. I know false battery cannot be found but i can live without it for now. As I see it (please correct me) I Need:

Tube
Connector
Venting cap (without axis, plastic and spring)

I can use from GGTS:
Button Complete
Axis, plastic and spring for cap (or maybe fuse?)

The button from the GGTS will not work unless it has an adjustable drop. GGTB button are shorter that the TS buttons.

Other than the cap post, insulator and spring nothing else is compatible between them .

Top connector, tube, appropriate button and bottom cap assembly = GGTB

Good luck. :)

How do I know if the buttons I am receiving have this adjustable drop? And what is the problem if it doesn't, wouldn't just touch the axis earlier but make contact anyway? I would have a short throw.

Adjustable drop GGTS button on left. Standard new style fixed drop GGTB button on right.

Note the differences in lengths. The GGTS can be adjusted up or down for drop. The GGTB cannot, but does not need to as it was made for the GGTB.

Many of the newer style GGTS buttons are also fixed drop and the housing too long for a GGTB.

OK thanks. I will have to buy the button then. but that would total something above 100 euros. Is this normal for a ggtb?

This is my opinion AA - unless Vassillis has a brass tube available, no need to buy parts. Imeo has said he will make more GGTB next yr. I would wait for all parts to be available. No sense in Micky Mousing around with parts from TS to TB.

The TB parts for pre-order now are for those of us - like me - that bought just the tubes he recently sent out.

Imeo told me all buttons from now on- including the new TB buttons on pre-order will be adjustable. I like a huge looking button, hence I put an adjustable TS button on all my TB's.

spin, I didn't get your point there. Vasillis has brass tube and Bruce has SS tube. I was thinking of using parts from GGTS since I have spares and not mickey mousing. I dont see the benefit of waiting unless for the price. As i said the false battery is not important for me. Can you clarify your point?

As for the button I pre-ordered one brass and one will come with the SS ggts. These are from the August pre-order. Will these work?

And thanks for your reply :toast:
