rda: clt infinite @ 0.8ohms 10 wraps dual coil setup 28 gauge kanthal

device 1: ipv2
device 2: nemesis clone

on my ipv2 at 25 watts to 30 watts i get a warm to hot vape, i barely can pull more than 3 seconds

on my nemesis clone, i can pull as long as i want, the vape comes out.. cool

on my friends nemesis clone, he has an magma at 0.5 ohms and it is a warm to hot vape as well, i pull 2 seconds and its already getting too hot, to me its unpleasant

so my question is ... why is it that im getting a cooler vape on my nemesis clone vs ipv2?
is it a matter of how many coils you wrapped it at? single vs dual coil setup? the device itself?

On the mech with a fully charged 4.2v battery, that 0.8 is only getting about 22 watts, 11 per coil. And then as the battery drains, you're getting less and less power (down to 20 watts at 4 volts, etc). With the IPv2, you're getting 12.5 to 15 per coil, about 13% more power.

That's about all I can think of, besides fancy things like "voltage drop" I've never experienced and can't comment on. I believe the biggest factor, using the same atty and coils, would have to be the wattage, right?

At 0.8 ohms on a freshly charged batt your only getting about 20-22 watts on your Nemi. But at 0.5ohms your friends is getting a lot more than that. On a mech mod like a Nemesis the build will determine 90% of how your device functions.

So yeah how you set it make makes a huge difference. Single coil at 1.0 ohm at 4v = 16wats and 4 amps but dual 1.0 ohm coils make it a 0.5ohm setup and at the same 4 volts is putting out 32 watts and 8 amps.

The trade off there for using all the extra energy is that it doubles the surface area, vaporizing a lot more juice and usually greatly increasing the flavor and intensity of the vape.
