Whats up everyone, first post. Have had my MVP for about 3 weeks with nautilus (Sadly, I just dropped it and smashed the tank..) and I've been trying to figure out the watts. I like the amount of vapor I get at 10 or 11 watts but it is always unbearably hot and burns my throat. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Tried multiple juices and theyre 3-6mg of nic I don't think its a nic throat hit. Let me know! Thanks

Hi JT and welcome to ECF!

Well, I guess the first thing I would suggest it that you try to vape at lower watts and see how that goes. If you miss the vapor production you might appreciate the lower heat and the lower pain level.

OTOH, if you need the vapor production let us know and I'm sure other folks will be able to help with that.

Sorry to hear about the Nautilus! Vape on my friend :)

The vape being to hot and harsh, you may be set to high on wattage output, open up your air flow regulator to the next widest open or even all the way wide open. The extra air flow should cool things down and decrease the scorching hit. If it is still scorching lower you wattage to around 9 watts, get a thinner juice, ie if using 30 PG 70 VG drop to a 50/50. But what you are describing sounds to me like lack of airflow and wicking is to slow, so a combination of 2 problems compounding upon each other.

Airflow is designed for more advanced airflow control.

The second thing is very few can do above 20 to 25watts when using a tank other than a modified Genesis Class, Aqua Class tank. Most rebuildables up at 50 watts and higher are generally drippers with huge air flow to rip straight to the lungs which creates a lot of airflow to keep the coil cool, most other Clearomizers like Nautilus and even Kayfun class RTA rebuildables are designed for more gentle mouth to lung hits.

im new(ish) but im running a nautilus mini and i run mine at 10.2w (4.3v with 1.8ohm atty's) what ohm atty's do you use?
try using a larger air hole (more air to cool the vapor but still a good hit) also try popping a longer drip tip, a long steel drip tip will also cool your vape down without loosing any of your hit)
failing that really lower your watts and see if you can enjoy a cooler vape that way
