hot water steeping method, lids on or off

I just got some new juices that are super fresh like made yesturday and taste not so great, sorry if this is a repeat post my other one disappeared on me. So anyway, I'm doing the hot water seap and need to know if I should take the lids off of the really perfumey (?) Juices? Thx

I've been mixing juices for nearly three months now. I've removed the lids to soften the flavor. I do know if this true, but this is my own personal observation.

If there is alcohol involved then you can. If not, I dont.
