Prior to receiving my Hotcig 200, I saved all the settings from my Opus 200 and when the Hotcig arrived uploaded them to the DX200. Never gave any thought to the Opus' welcome screens till I seen them last night. I have no idea what they even looked like but here is what they look like now.
They look real good on the mod's screen, they don't seem to look that good here.

I'm up early today waiting for mine, sitting here wondering how long it's going to take me to open it up to see how they did the 510 ground....it's here
Updated old firmware, battery cells low and unbalanced, something like 9.9 volts on pack. Charging now. Pack was set to 9 wh in EScribe, changed to 9.9 wh.
It feels pretty heavy compared to my Opus. Feels like a VS (finish)
So it's charging now via USB, no idea of the rate the Hotfire balance charger outputs amp wise but it's wall wart is 800 mah @ 15 volts.
Ohm's reads the same as on my Opus.
OK, finally had a couple hits off it even though the battery is still charging, the excitement is now over (providing the cells come out balanced and I suspect that they will. (and they are now)
Oh, the spring on the 510 pin is fairly strong, about the same as my Opus. The top of the 510 is a bit lower than the well it sits in so my 25 mm Subtank isn't going to fit without it's adapter, no biggie there.

There are 3 small screws under the label on the inner side, same pattern as on the board, I shall leave them be for now.
Received today. When I hooked it up to Escribe, the included USB could not be used. Firmware update was immediately necessary and no preloaded setting info in mod so defaults needed to be restored. After firmware update & default restore, device Monitor was reading Pack @ 4.2v, Cell1 @ 3.97v, Cell2 @ 0.27v, Cell 3 @ 0.24v. 20 min on charge = Pack @ 4.63v, Cell1 @ 2.94v, Cell2 @ 0.76v, Cell3 @ 0.93v.

When you said they sent it with battery very low, you weren't kidding. I'm just hoping it will take a charge!

Mine wasn't in all that bad of discharge/unbalanced, maybe around 9 volts on pack.
I just checked my supplied usb cable and it works for both charge and data, a bit short though so I may never use it.

Left it charging on Escribe for about 2.5 hrs. & two of the cells were still at .81v & .88v. Then I went to the Hotfire Charger for about 3hrs because I don't have a JST-XH Extension Cable for the Imax B6. Pulled it off and plugged it into Escribe and all the cells were at 4.23 volts even though the charging light had not gone out yet. Now idea how much higher the stock charger would have pushed the cells before it stopped charging.

Mine finally arrived today. Checked the battery and cell 1 was at 1.34, cell 2 was at 2.87, and cell 3 was at 1.26 volts and it wouldn't charge on USB at all. Plugged the battery into the Hotfire charger, went and ate dinner and just happened to think about it while I was watching TV, so I pulled it off and checked the cell levels - 4.19, 4.21, and 4.18 volts. I didn't get the exact length of time it was charging, but I'd ballpark that it was around 2.5 hours.

I like the VS feel of the mod, love the buttons, but not too confident in the battery or that charger. I'll be taking extra caution to watch this thing while charging for a while... hopefully I won't have to use the Hotfire charger again.

Thanks to KTMRider and DWCraig got my profiles and screens set up.

Running a Crown in 316L temp control on a stock 0.25ohm ss coil now. Wild fluctuations in Escibe but it is limiting the temp for an enjoyable vape. The mod really has to work to do temp control in Stainless.

It should "work" a lot less after you get experiment with the 510 placement: up/down, in/out.

SS 316L & 430 steady as a rock here.

Maybe the wicking isn't keeping up with wattage set that high. My graph will bounce like that if I'm giving it too much power or the wick just isn't flowing the sauce.

Here's my Crown with the RBA, SS430 / 3 mm / 5 wrap / rayon / 50w preheat / 5.5 punch

I think you hit the nail squarely on its head.

That, your graph, is what I see, a slow/controlled rise; then, a steady variance at and near TL.

With the 510 improperly set (in/out) I get either a too quick rise, or, no rise at all. Reset the 510 (all attys I own) and watch the effect. You will be VERY surprised. This is what I most love about eScribe.

Second most would be measurement of the individual cells. My Hotcig 200 will likely be returned for Low Cells. Hard for Shenzen to deny or refute the data.

Ti wire and SS 316L on the slow boat now. Got my RBA bases coming & no wire to use. Tanks are new came w/ .25ohm ss coils and I just programmed the TCR Curves from SteamEngine to try it out. Tastes ok and definitely limits temp, but I never saw a trace on temp control so erratic in device monitor. Heard of others trying this on stock coils had similar results.

Yep, there seems to be a good reason that SS prebuilt (or "stock") coils do NOT work very well.

Based on my experience with hand wrapped coils I believe SS MUST be dry-burned before it is vaped. I doubt that the factories building these SS coils dry-burn the coils before shipping.

Those around here who know my ECF history will say, "he don't create bogus myths". If my experience is untrustworthy, I will gladly amend my position. [emoji41]
