Hi everyone, first post & new to vaping.

Got my mod and tank. Been happily vaping away and I realised that I tend to get the burnt taste after consecutively vaping one puff after another. Changed wick a few times. They run fine at first, maybe for like after 50 - 60 draws, then I'll get the burnt taste.

Read on this forum that Kayfun 3.1 isn't suitable for high watts vaping. I vape between 15w - 20w with 1.2 ohms +/-.

Any body got any tips ?

Thanks!

I've found in my experience the kayfun does not vape very well over 12 to 15 watts tops. The juice flow just does not keep up with higher wattages. I think you will find if you dial the wattage down to say 10 to start you will get a pretty good vape. I save my higher wattage vaping for atomizers that can handle it better than the kayfun. Depending on your build you might be able to push 15 watts Without burning but that's really about it. At least in my experience with the kayfun and I have four of them. What I had done was take a drimell tool and deepened my juice channels. This helps a LOT with the dry hits and allows a higher wattage vape without burning. Be very careful of the chimney threads when cutting the chimney still must be able to screw on. Just deepen the channels. Hope this helps and best wishes

Thanks for all inputs. Newbie so I'm unsure of all the jargon used yet.

I am currently using Kanthal 28 Guage coil. Quite new to this so a friend does it for me today. I am now trying to see if allowing more airflow into the Kayfun 3.1 helps to minimise the burnt taste (dry hits I suppose?).

For my juice, on the label it doesn't state the content so I'm unsure of the PG/VG mixture. All from my supplier as my country bans the import of e-cigs.

How often do I have to recoil and change the wick?
