Nicquid: House Blend
Summary: A fine caramel-hazelnut vape that takes a bit of steeping to fully mature. A likely re-purchase.
Copper Creek's House Blend has something of a cult following - it's climbed the list with names like Boba's, Gandalf, Kentucky, and Malty. The grouping is not undeserved - it's certainly a powerful and unique offering. I ordered in 70% VG and tried it in a 3.7v 2.0ohm Boge configuration and a 4.1v 2.2ohm Ego Twist configuration. It's best given a week or more steeping time and a brisk shake before loading up. And in the carto about 15m soak time - the Ego tank just needs dry pull priming like most VG heavy nicquids do in that style "tank."
At the cool 3.7v/2.0ohm level it has a light caramel, slightly sweet, somewhat latte type of feel and taste. Nice solid thick plumes that linger on the nose for a while. Very clean and consistent.
At the slightly warmer 4.1v/2.2ohm a bit more hazelnut comes though. The caramel hits the tongue but the draw turns into a hazelnut flavor, a bit less sweet, and the thick feeling becomes more of a tobacco sensation toward the end of the draw. It's still clean, no aftertaste, but a bit warmer and chain-vaping it'll tend to become nuttier over a session.
FV keeps her customers and threads lively and did another great job here. It's definitely worth a try but I'd recommend 50/50 or more toward PG to retain a bit more flavor. It'll be on my regular list moving forward. -Magnus
