what specifically are you wanting to be able to do? i'm not in-town, but i am less than two hours away and if you're just wanting an overall intro into modding (wiring/soldering; what tools & parts you'll need & how they work; and how to keep an eye out for potential mod material--anything can be a battery case!), then i could easily show you that stuff in an afternoon. all it takes is getting that first one under your belt, after that you'll find that you're craftier than you may've thought and you'll start seeing ways to turn any & every thing into a PV.

that'd be the best i could do, though.. just walk you through a starter project (box or flashlight mod or the like) one afternoon to give you foundation to stand on.

all the best.

That's what I want to do when I retire later this year:
Go from bar to bar across the southwest, La to LA for about 6 months, working on bikes and giving e-cig MOD classes. Then fly back home and surf the internet :)
