So I will be heading to my very first vape event this weekend and am stoked! Already have a few ECF members that I am going to meet up with, looks to be a great time. And just so people know where the awesome that I will have in my mods comes from, I had a little something made up here in town. Thanks to Lavish T's for the awesome work. Can't wait to post some pictures from the show! I just hope I don't go broke, I found out that Skeleton Key mods will be there and that's one that is on my vape bucket list.

This is why I have been hoarding my business cards that comes with my orders. Nothing like some free advertising at a big vape event!

Thanks everyone! Will try to get as many as I can, being so new to vaping and then this coming up it's like it was planned before I even knew about it. :)

Thank you in advance for sharing the NT love - wish I could be there personally... seems like I am always saying this, but I have to many irons in the fire to travel!! Someday the production process will be on autopilot and I will be able to get out and play! ;)

No worries, one day ya'll will have a booth at one and I will be there as a guest and be proud to be a long standing resident in the NuThouse. Just know WeirdWillie and I will be doing the best we can to make it like the Omaha crew is there this weekend. And when you guys can make it down to Texas it will be bar-b-que, beers, and good vapes for sure. :)

You'll have so much fun! I went to Vape Blast in San Antonio and went all 3 days. I'm still thinking of trying to make it to Houston for this one if the other half wants to or let's me go myself. If I make it, I'll bring a load of NT cards, too!

I'll PM you my cell in case you make it would be awesome to have another NT fan running the booths with us.

Reign, I have some advice for you before you walk into your first vape summit.

Take a pencil and pocket sized note book. Do not buy anything from any booth until you have walked them all (or as many as you set out for yourself). If you come upon a booth with something you want, mark what it is and which booth it is in. Once you complete your booth circuit, review your notes and start crossing off things you no longer want. Go back and visit the booths that have things you want. Anything you find in those booths you can find online. Some things are unveiled at the summit's that is not yet for sale, but remember that means it has not been tried and tested by the general vaping community, either.

It is so easy to impulse buy at those meets and when you stumble upon something you really, really want you no longer have the funds. Plus, carrying a bunch of stuff around with you is no fun either.

You will have a great time!

I can attest to that. I had a serious case of "shineyitis"! Although, in my opinion, I have the best and don't need another mod, I couldn't help but hold it in my hand and think, do I really want this? I did use some real willpower, and didn't buy anything but a few little odds and ends. But I ended up with a few bags of freebies. Penguiness has it right, good advice.

Wow thanks! Awesome advice, and I will do that for sure. The only booth I know of so far that will get a lot of attention is the Skeleton Key and even then it's only the ones I have already seen. I don't want to get stuck with some prototype that performs poorly. I am on their waiting list but if they are offering them for sale I may not be able to pass it up. The good thing is based on the vendor map they are waaaaayyyy in the back so I will see a ton of stuff before getting to them.

I am on a budget for this show since it came up so fast, so I will have to be smart about it. With me already having a mech and a Reo I wont be looking at hardware too much, the only other thing I have in mind that I know I will buy is one bottle (that's all they offer I am intersted in) of juice from Five Pawns and Space Jam, I just want to see what the fuss is about. But something tells me I will be dripping it on occasion and ADV NT as usual.

That Skeleton Key is just so beautiful it's like a piece of art you can vape. I am fully prepared to treat it like the Ren Fest here walk around for 3-4 hours and buy one or two things. But I will be hearing Penguiness in the back of my head saying,"Just be sure." :D

Thanks again for the advice I really will listen to it.

That's exactly what I was thinking, trying to get some freebies, have a good time, and maybe buy a few things. I have a major game release next week I have to plan for as well. Assassin's Creed Unity comes out on the 11th so I have to have enough to get that left and feed me and the pups till Friday. :)

Edit: Ugh I almost forgot Assassin's Creed Rogue comes out the same day so that's at least $120.00 I have to drop on video games next week and while I love vaping, well look at my name. :D

Speaking of if I disappear for a month or so, well I am off being an Assassin/Templar and will be back.

Then go right to the Skeleton Key and grab it up before they are gone. THEN, start walking the booths. Don't grab bottles of free juice that you have not tasted or researched. Sure, it is free. But 99% of the time it will be crap and then you will either have to throw it out, or spend money trying to get rid of it. Goodness knows what is in it or if it was mixed in a sterile environment.

Haha, will do. How can you argue with a Skeleton Key. :)

My first vape meet was a small affair, only a large room in a hotel, but I went because glowplug was driving and hanging out with her is fun and I wanted 2 things: 1) to say hello to my friends who run a B&M here in town and 2) to buy three nice drip tips. These folks have wonderful work and I bet are there "American Drip Tips", really nice hand made glass drip tips. As for the rest I just passed it all by. Glow was grabbing freebies right and left for both of us  but Pen's advice is solid. No reason loading up on juice you won't like!

Here is my advice. If you have a cheap little drip tip bring it with you to sample juices. Most will have little coverings for the sample juices' attys but you never know...better to know you have your own than to trust that they will take care of your hygiene and most won't care if you swap out their drip tip with your own. :thumb:
