I was going to swap the battery on my brand new REO and I noticed this gouge on the inside of the door. I don't know what I should do as it is still holding and the magnets are not loose etc.. But I don't know if it will become an issue in the future :( Please take a look.

Thanks for the replies. After I spend nearly 200 bucks on a mod I was just expecting no gouges. Maybe I'm being OCD. I have had it for 24 hours. I hope you can see where I'm coming from.

The door had that when you got it? You just noticed it now?

Send a PM to Robert or call him. Let him know. Now.

All of the new ones I've bought have that too (to some degree), doesn't bother me.

It seems there is a little bit of superglue or something on one of the magnets on each of my reos that causes a bit of resistance when I slide the door up. I've just worked the spot with my fingernail until it no longer causes resistance on the door. It was a temporary condition on all of them. I figure that's just part of the "break in" for a fresh new REO.

The inside of your door will not look perfect on reo . You have metal to metal rubbing every time you open the door . If this was on the outside I would be shocked . I have the same lines on the inside of my door . If its coming from a magnet that is not seated properly I can fix that

Thank you I will keep an eye on the magnet.

To get back on topic - it's a grand - to look after it - you will wash it under a tap in the sink - file the firing pin free of crap and coat it in something - most likely Noalox - a grey goo that you probably have a little bag of - which came with it.

I have never yet seen a classified advert in here from someone saying - 'i hate this thing and i'm selling it' and then posting a special pic of what the inside of the door looks like! It really does not happen.

Hope that makes you feel better - it's just normal wear and tear.
