In nearly a year (this weekend will be 1 year of exclusive REOs) I have owned 9 different REOs. Every one of them has fired every time I have pressed the button.
Except this weekend. I let my neighbor run my every day grand on Saturday. I washed the drip tip, put in a new battery and taught him to squonk every 2 hits. He was using it and smoking a cig about every hour rather than like 4 cigs an hour and liking it allot.
Then he hands it to me and says the battery is dead. Sure enough, no power. I'm thinking how can this be. Brought it home, fuse is fine, battery is at 4.13 but no fire. Firing pin is good.
Unscrew atty cap and the cotton is burnt out of the rba. Duh. No wonder no fire. New cotton, new battery and alls good. Give it back to him and tell him to squonk after every hit - see ya tomorrow.
He brought it back later in the day on Sunday and said he'll check with me on the weekend because he needs to smoke during the week.
When I took the top off the rba to clean it the cotton was burnt again.
It must be hard to quit when your still smoking. My hats off to those who have done it![]()
Mostly it just takes WANTING to.....and the right mindset.
