So I have a Nemesis clone and a couple Vivi Nova tanks. I have an ego style battery as back-up and when desperate I have used some old Blu batteries I have laying around.

My 18650 in my Nemesis has been loose since I bought, so I have to adjust the bottom quite a bit to get it to work. It works for a little while then that stupid rice pin falls out and jams the button. Well I was reading some threads on here today and saw one explaining the if you take out the beauty ring, the battery fits fine. Awesome, I thought, and I try to take it out... it won't budge. I whack it and do everything I can think of to break it loose... no deal, it's not moving. So I get a great idea, I'll use some pliers. A little twist and... crunch, I crush the beauty ring.

Now you are probably thinking, who cares, you were taking it off anyways. Yeah, well, it still won't come off. So I grab my ego and nothing. Fully charged, light lights up, but no juice going to the positive contact. something on the pcb must have broke.

So I grab my Blu batteries... both dead.

A quick run to a B&M and I now own a nice Magneto. Works like a dream.

Support your local vaping community or they won't be there when you need them.

While I purchase a good deal online, I also had a bad experience while on vacation and was thanful for a B&M.

I was on vacation and had TWO of my three tanks bite the dust on the same day while driving from Colorado to New Mexico.

Thanks to the internet, I located a B&M in Taos to purchase a backup and avoid having to buying a pack of smokes.

I have only been vaping for a month now and I am fortunate and have 4 local shops that I go to and several more I haven't been to yet. They have all been excellent to deal with. I have purchased some stuff from online shops and fastech. I have used ebay for several purchases. I have a small ebay purchase right now for some pre-wrapped coils that is causing me some problems and if the seller does not respond to my email by tomorrow I will have to sic paypal on him and I hate to do that, but it is the best way to pay for something and anything does not go right. They will just take the money out of his account and put it back in mine if he doesn't get the coils to me and I move on to another seller, there are several.

Ive had the Nemesis for a few weeks now... I've learned that the trick is to leave the button alone and only adjust the positive connection. When using 18650's the smallest tube and the small ring are not needed unless you're going to use a kick. But this is my experience with no-nip batts. i suppose when using batteries with nips, the small ring should still be usable.

I think you just wanted an excuse to buy another mod lol

You may be able to salvage the nemesis still, if not, order the annodized aluminum tubes from fasttech for $10

Cool, I never thought of that. But I think if I can just get the ring off, it should still work fine.

That was my problem, I'm not using a Kick or a battery with nip. But I never thought to remove the ring. That's why my button was always falling apart. I fully take the blame for stupidity... and maybe a subconscious desire to buy a new mod ;)
