I had forgotten how amazing these guys were/are! I had never heard of progressive death metal until I heard Opeth. Man are these guys good!! The lead singer has a great regular singing voice and has an incredible low growl! The instrumentation is astounding!

You can just put on some headphones and close your eyes and melt away with this one.

I hadn't either, I don't think I've come across another band like Opeth, they're awesome. I just came across this thread, and I think it's gonna become one of my favorites
