Hey Boo...

Yeah... I tried the carts at 6 volts, they get a bit hot after a long draw.
I'm thinking of using some rubber tubing as a sleeve to fix that. As far as the taste... it's great, loaded a blank cart with Ms T's Bananas Foster and it is almost as good as dripping... :)
I use a rubber pen grip cut in half....they work great.....
I have been a dripper for months, I hate carts.
You'll love The SB! I have 2!

I love them. I almost exclusively use my SB and BB with cartomizers at 5 or 6v. They taste great as long as the carto is moist. Personally, I don't really like them at 3.7v as the SB or BB with the 510-KR adaptor has a really airy draw.

I saw eskimovaper's vaper with his cartomizer + pengrip. Very practical. I use the 510/901 t-tip and it looks pretty slick.

Hey Dopey, how long do the prefilled ones last before you have to juice up? Got an estimate?

How are you vaping 5V on the SB?

boochips, I can't really give a proper estimate because I never let it dry out too much. I suspect that it won't be too much of a concern for you since you're using a pen grip which allows you to drip a few drops every hour or so (or as needed). I think the general estimation is a few hours at 6v.

I usually vape three flavors throughout the day: marlbo, ry4, and flue-cured. Each cartomizer will be fully loaded in the morning, using Taryn's spin method (it's a sticky in the V4L subforum). All three usually last me can last me a good 8 hrs without any problems (but I think I would consider myself a moderate vaper). On most occasions, I top off frequently, and don't really worry about refilling.

I'm sorry, I know I didn't answer your question. Hopefully someone else can give a proper estimation.

SKYY, I apologize for the lack of clarity. I should have said SB and BB PT at 6v and 5v, respectively.

I use cartomizers almost exclusively with my SB at 6 volts. The flavors and TH are great. Note: Tasty Vapor’s Atomic Fireball is the first juice I tried that is a bit too intense at 6 volts (so far). However, I really like this flavor.

After initially filling the cartomizer, I generally take about 15-20 drags, then add 6-8 drops….repeat…..repeat…repeat.

It should be noted that the cartomizer is not even close to empty after 15-20 drags, but I found using this method almost eliminates the chance of burning the polyfill.

Note: although the vapor is warm, the cartomizer seems only to get hot if the atomizer is not centered correctly in the cartomizer.

Funny you should ask...I just got my SB yesterday. Very nice!
Just 5 minutes ago, I took a clean used carto and dripped about 8 drops in it.
I forgot to do the spin trick, which must have left the bottom dry, cuz I fried my first cartomizer! Didn't taste very good either...

So, in conclusion, don't do that! =)

It takes somewhere between 18-25 drops to initially fill an empty cartomizer. I generally put in about 20 drops. You need to initially put in more than 8 drops:)

Thanks!
Usually, I'll put in 8-9, spin, then add 8-9 more. Had a brain fart!
Probably didn't help that it was some thick juice. Any way, I tried again and the now this carto gets hot real quick, and I'm using the holy condom tip! I think it might be this carto...its one of them hard drawing ones(oops). I'll get the hang of this! Now to find some Noalox!
