There can be many factors that effect this. There are many manufactures of cartos/atties. My threads are OEM threads. If either one threads or atties are off by a slight bit it can cause this issue. If my threads are .0005in too tight and the carto is .0005in too big = .001in = tight fit. A human hair(most) is .001in in diameter. It does not take much :)

The Joye 510 cartos are the only Joye products that I've had thread problems with (although a very small number). I think out of 40 I've had a problem with about 3 of them. One wouldn't screw in. I think it was the wrong thread. 2 other ones didn't have the air holes drilled out... The indentation was there but they weren't drilled. I have a drill that size so I took care of it. Guess I got lucky and didn't drill through the center electrode.

I've found that some of the Joye 510 cartos have iffy threads, and I've had issues screwing them in on my eGo as well as my Omega. I chalk it up to the fact that they're a relatively new model. Even with the issues, right now I think they're the best performing carto available.

I've experienced the same thing. I had a five pack of the genuine Joye 510 cartos and out of that pack two would not screw onto either my SB or 180mAh 510 battery. Never had a lick of trouble with my Xpress 510 cartos, though.

Well from the sounds of it, it's a good thing we don't sell Joye Cartomizers :p But on the issue at hand, some people have been experiencing this issue and it's easy to resolve. You simply have to work the atomizer in to the threading, if you don't feel comfortable doing this then open a support ticket and we can resolve you this way :)

Seems like we had this issue about a year ago :p

This brings up an interesting thought. One of the main reasons I purchased my Omega is that it's virtually indestructible. With that said, it seems to me that one possible point of failure is the atomizer/battery connector (obviously through no fault of AltSmoke). The relative frequency by which the threads are normally used, coupled with varying quality in the mating threads on atties and cartos, will wear the connector over time.

How easy is it to replace that sucker if the need should ever arise? Is it press fit with epoxy?

I'm willing to bet that if that repair would become necessary Chad would take care of you. Though I'm new to vaping I've heard nothing but praise for how well Chad and Rob support their products, hell I gave Rob some praise myself not too long ago over a replacement issue that was in no way his fault.

I suppose if one had an arbor press they could replace the connector easily. It is not in with epoxy, that's not how I roll :) It uses .002-.001in press fiit, more than enough. If you tried pulling it out you would strip the threads for sure.

Perfect! Thanks, Chad. I'm sure you and Rob would take care of me if possible. I'm more thinking of the possibility of a vapocalypse in the future, and that you'd both have to move on to different endeavors.
