Just ordered the RM3 this week and received it yesterday. Before this, I got the RM2, which I think is a good value because of the unique ceramic deck and its performance. Like most of us "modders", I drilled out the hole to 1/16" with a high speed drill press and new cobalt bit. It works great! But I'm not as thrilled with the RM3. Out of the package the o-rings were loose and are very thin but it did have some resistance so I figured it was OK. And to clarify the confusion I've heard, both attys have 3 posts as shown on the website; the "single" coil model simply has one airhole instead of two. But after converting it to "dual coil" by drilling the second airhole, which is needed because of the post spacing IMO, it does work very well and is a good complement to the RM2. I emailed Rob regarding the o-rings and I'm sure he will do the right thing and give me a fix for the o-ring problem, but for those that ordered the single coil expecting two posts, what do y'all think about it?

I was probably the source of confusion over 2 post vs 3 post, my bad, I have some A6's with just 2 posts, I presumed Robs would be the same  However, I can't see the 3rd post being a problem with a single coil build, and it gives an extra advantage of 4 possible coil locations.

So the A6 does come in a 2 post model.
Two posts would be spaced wider apart, I guess that's my point. Easier for aging eyes, ability to make a longer, more traditional coil for more surface area coverage on the wick, cooler vape. I'm not a big sub ohm guy with unregulated devices especially. But I wound two 10 wrap 30 ga. and it does produce a nice large vape.

i'd prefer just 2 posts for the purely self-interested and idle reason that they are easier to build coils for without having to be a watchmaker.

If you go with a 3 post atty, then i want decent air flow control on it like RM4/Atomic. Drilling holes is err, boring! And it limits your coil building viz 'oh yeah this works', ' oh no i'm choking' depending on your drill bit choice.

I don't see how an extra post is the problem. Do you know what material it is made out of? I prefer the top screwing on then orings. Curious to hear what you think of it when your orings are fixed.

These orings are definitely a softer "gummier" material and very thin. I also prefer screw caps but there aren't many around. The airhole doesn't have the chance to move if you are out and about.

The A6 is made in a 2 or 3 post versions, although the posts aren't spread wide like on the RM2...

I've been using a BF-modified A6 for quite some time. I have only seen the 3 post. That's not saying a 2 post doesn't exist. I never have a problem with the air holes mis-aligning.

I am completely blind in one eye. Depth perception is wonky within 1". I seem to be able to build a coil on the A6 deck without many cuss words.

FYI I seem to only like single coil @ .8-1ohm. I had to plug the 2nd hole on my A6 and enlarge the unplugged one.

The cap is not a tight fit on the ones I have, and this is something I particularly like about them. Its easy to align the air hole without the whole atty turning in the 510 threads. Also, when removing and replacing the cap there is less stress on the 510. Because of the high sides on the base, and 2 orings, there is no leakage, and the cap will not come off in your pocket. Combine that with the small chamber and you have a great vape in an easy-to-live-with package. Recoiling is no more difficult than recoiling a Cyclone or Igo-bf, after you've done it a few times, its easy.

Agree. But that wasn't my case. The atty cap literally fell of in my mouth with the drip tip attached to my lips. In retrospect, I guess it's pretty funny. That's a bit too loose IMO. But anyway, it's a non-issue now thanks to Rob's service.

I had the same issue with my top cap when I got it. Someone on here suggested taking the O-Rings off, wrapping some floss in the O-Ring grooves, and putting them back on, and it works perfectly. Snaps in to place nicely, and I can even pick it up by the top cap now without it coming off. Don't have to worry about it when I leave it in my pocket now.
