RM2 and Air

I love this RM2. I do wish however that i could adjust the airflow. I think i read that that is in the works.

Considering drilling out the RM2, as I have done to other devices, but it sucks to drill IMO, cause there is no going back. Sometimes i need a good airy draw but other times i like it tight. (insert crude joke here)

My dream RM3 would look similar to the Helios. Adjustable airflow with a clear tank option for (semi)blind squawking. and of course dual coil capability.

I have been staring at this RM2 all day trying to figure out how to add adjustable airflow to it. seems easy enough. just need a similar diameter tube and some o rings, or so i think.

Anyone accomplish adding air adjustment?

Order a few caps from Rob and drill them. Rob is working on an AFC like you said. And there are posts on the forum showing different AFC's for the RM2.

I made one out of a copper pipe. Not the most beautiful thing, but it works.

I was thinking of doing the same. What size copper pipe? 3/4 I'm thinking. Got pull out the calipers...

pdib did the same thing, he got copper pipe the same outer diameter as the RM2 cap.

I pulled the bottle side ring off of a needle stopper and it works fine to control airflow. Certainly not fancy but it worked.

Yes, it is 3/4" copper piping. I bought a piece at about 1/3", cost me 25 cents. I drilled the air holes while it was still in one piece. then dremeled it to allow expansion and sanded it down. It required some trial and error, but I figured it out fairly quickly.
