How Brandy-ish is the Brandy?

I went through a period when I loved Japanese Plum Wine. Do you think Plum + Brandy would taste similar or would it be to brandy-ish?

you might have better luck with a Champaign flavoring than with Brandy.....I think Lorann's makes one.....
