You can. A lot of people say to boil them. If you plan on putting the same flavor back into the carto...I personally just rinse them out for a few minutes with the hottest water that my hands can handle.
Just give them a few days to dry before you use it again, and you should be good.

I only clean mine out when they start getting clogged and the taste starts getting a little off.

Search YouTube for the topic - there are a lot of options.

What worked well for me, when I had twenty or more to do at once.

- Boil them for 10m
- Put on bakers sheet w/ foil in pre-heated 350d over for 15m
- Turn off over, leave for 30m

Then leave them on that tray overnight, standing upright..

Boiled a bunch the other night for 15 min rinsed them boiled another 15 min, dried for two days and can still smell the last juice i used in most of them. One had coffee juice and after i refilled it with a diff juice all I could taste was coffee. Am I doing something wrong or are certain flavors just impossible to clean out?

when i first started vapin i used cartos too,,i tried cleaning them with several different methods.they are just not the same quality after cleaning.

and yes, some juices leave behind a flavor that you can't clean out regardless !! lemon and lime based flavors come to mind

move up to re buildable,,the vivi tank,[not the vivi nova] is less then 20 bucks and works extremely great !!

When you say they last a few days, Is the flavor changing a little or all together different. I am going to assume that you are using the carto's in a DC Tank??? Some/Most of the DCT carto's have a small hole punched in them and w/ a mid to high VG mix the carto's could kinda dry out, IMO- the holes in some of the pre-punched carto's are a little to small or way to small depending on your juice which would change the flavor a little or a lot.
Where bouts in Indiana are you I'm in Marion ;)

Can't say I've seen the vivi tank, I had planned on picking up some vivi nova 2.5's, what is the major difference between the two?

The vivi is the newest style tank by smok tech,it is so much better then the vivi nova.

no dry hits at all till the tank is dry,and it can be rebuilt too, though a little bit of experience is necessary
here is the co-op,sorry but it has already been done and shipped

stormys vape cellar has them in stock, there are others too

I tried to have my cartos last longer by boiling them...doesn't really work for me. I'm moving to vivi tanks as well, but I've been vaping awhile, too. My suggestion if you're not quite ready to deal with a rebuildable is to try a clearomizer, stardusts are great which I get at Hoosier. They last longer, and you can dry burn them to clean 'em out for a nice clean vape as well as extending the life. Here's some instructions on how to do it:

After watching many how-to clean carto videos. I combined some of the different methods.

1. boil/simmer or soak in very hot water, stir/shake every time I walk by, change water as needed (softens PG/VG/sugars)
2. Use syringe to pump hot water through carto. pump through both ends till water is clear
3. Soak in vodka/PGA over night, stir/shake every time I walk by. (solvent breaks up muck of the dried PG/VG/sugar)
4. Use syringe and clean vodka/PGA to pump through carto. Pump through both ends till clear
5. Stand carto on end, dry 1 or 2 nights
6. Dry burn and repeat process if draw is still too stiff.
7. OHM test to see if they are still near spec
refill with syringe

I get about 2 cleaning refill cycles per carto and 90% reuse rate on atties that I don't kill on dry burns. The low res atties often die on the dry burn.
