In my experience less is often better. You want enough wick to feed your coils but that's all. The wick should be thick enough to fill the space inside the coil but slide with very little resistance, if you have to really pull it through you are using too much. I also find that having just the tails, maybe a little extra, in the
juice well is all you need. Too much
juice actually will diminish vapor production as you get to a point where your coils will actually be trying to boil the juice in your well if too deep.
You also want to align your coils with the air holes, yours look too low in the pic you posted. Many RDAs also perform best if the coils are positioned as far out towards the outer edge of the deck as possible. Remember, airflow is critical for good vapor production so you don't want to impede that in any way. You want air to be able to travel in through the air holes, under and around your coils, and be drawn out though the top with little or no restriction for best results.
