Lets try to get some high profile folks to help us out. Someone like us common folk who really believe in the e-cig. I think actors, congressmen, senators, state representatives, sheriffs governors mayors heck even football and other sport players will help us a great deal. Anyone personally know any of the above that either uses an e-cig or is a smoker who might be interested in learning about them?

Think about it.. they all have to go someplace to get info.. that place is Here on ECF cus it's better than most. I'm thinking there have to be some around here that are just keeping it on the down low. With as many members as ECF has, the odds that they are not here are very slim I think.

While the gathering of support from visible people would add a great wave to the cause. We are going to need more support from science first. The support from the visible people might bring in the grant money to get the science moving, but what happens if it is not as positive as we all believe it is...

Remember Global Cooling and Global Warming... Same science, but different results. If the science is done by math then its outcome can go either way. Sometimes it depends upon if the scientist is looking for a negative or a positive result...

I'm not worried about that. There have been enough studies around the world on e-cig ingredients as well as testing by doctors of vapers health improvements to show that e-cigs are safer, better for you health wise than cigarettes and any possible long term risk from it's use is considered minimal and negligible by comparison to smoking combustible tobacco products. (except for some chemicals used in some flavorings and for the most part flavor makers avoid using these)

What about actors who are known but not so popular anymore? Many actors ( as well as officials that are no longer hold public office) do go about their business as regular people. There are hundreds of thousands of them out there. Just think of some actors you haven't seen in a while and look them up. Many live as regular folk with jobs, Sunday school, PTA etc. They are recognizable though they don't work actively in the entertainment business anymore for the most part. ECF users somewhere must know some of these people, and are their neighbors, or family members, former classmates etc.

I myself am smarter than the President, much better looking the Brad Pitt and way too sexy for my Toyota Corolla.

There are some, especially in the big brand mass market e-cigarette world. Beyond the celebrity endorsements, njoy is run by an ex US Representative from AZ. I think the Safe Cig also has a politically connected CEO.

The trick, beyond having irrefutable science to back our claims up (after all science only goes so far in the political arena) is to have a stronger industry. Basically it is my belief until e-cigarette industry lobby dollars start circulating freely in Washington, we are in for a tough ride.

There are so many negative connotations with smoking and since most non-smokers see vaping as smoking, I think most celebs do it on the down low.

I give Katherine Heigl major props for vaping on David Letterman. I think she did it because she was torn apart by the gossip sites for smoking. Most celebs are. They love showing celebs smoking and making fun of them.

He's also not dead, yet there's a KISS coffin, so use isn't necessarily a prerequisite for endorsement :) We should get somebody on this one!

Gene's all about marketing the brand -- on anything. It probably won't be long before a new vendor pops up: Gene Simmons' Family Juices.

My vote is for Johnny Depp. Ok, I admit my vote is for Johnny Depp for pretty much everything, but you might have a shot with him. As long as it's not some crack-head loser.

The heck with science. You need junk science to start a movement.

+1 on spreading money around politicians.
