The knockoff egos usually have gold rings around the button area and the whole ring lights up not just the buttons. True Joye egos can come with 1 or 2 cone so this isn't a good tell if it's real. We work with joyetech and know them well. Also if the price seems too cheap there is most likely a reason, it's a knock off. Hope this helps. The link you show is a true joyetech ego. We deal with healthcabin often as they are one of our suppliers.

I notice that one is white. So you could go here and get a white one for 39.99 plus 2.99 shipping. The batteries are only the normal 650's but this place is guaranteed to be legit and they have great service!! Also a couple titanium and pink in stock so act fast!!

Rut row...just got my new Joye ego from Liberty flights today. Like it, but it SURE doesn't say Joye anywhere like the one in the link above. Is this a knockoff? Hoping not as they were very helpful, reasonably priced and the vendor was a referral from people here, but figured i should check...

Hmm... by looking at the pic, the actual unit looks right although the box is different.

The original link looks like the real deal, but it's a tricky subject: While you can tell the basic builds apart fairly easily, there are many suppliers who box what is obviously not an eGo into boxes with fat Janty logos on them, for example. And of course while you can tell the eGo-class PVs apart, there are copies on the market that mimic the original very well. So the best insurance is to buy from reputable dealers who are know to actually carry what they advertise.

Joye eGo: Silver ring, smoke-coloured button, white light, plain, smooth finish.
Riva: Golden ring, white silicone button, blue light, plain, smooth finish. 100% compatible with eGo parts, slightly different voltage, but really slightly.
JSB vGo: Silver ring, "diamond" button, various light colours, weavy finish, not compatible with eGo cones or chargers. (In my personal opinion: Complete and utter waste of money.)
Hello F016: Bulky body, long white silicone button, blue light, smooth, plain finish. No cones, charger is compatible with eGo. Actually not a bad battery with slightly more voltage than an eGo, but the missing cone is a pity.

My guess is that for the special price of this set, you don't get the standard box. When I got mine from another vendor for $10.00 more, I was thinking how much less they could sell it for if it weren't in such an expensive box.
Yes, I know they buy those boxes by the thousands, but I am a manufacturer who buys packaging. Those cool boxes have magnetized flaps and are hot foil stamped with the vendors logo and even in bulk, are quite expensive.
The (other) good thin is, you got two cones. The standard set comes with only one cone.
I would happily settle for a standard box for $10.00 off the price and an extra cone.

Due to the volume we buy, we get OEM packaging, quite a lot of vendors probably get this. If you look through the site as well, we always try to use the manfuacturer name/model, we believe this is important. We aim our site at those who know what they are looking for whilst attempting to be suitable for the new vaper as well.
