Mega eGo compatible with Ken's Box Mod????

Hi, sorry for jumping to a dumb question on my first post, but I've been reading a LOT on this forum lately and even more about the Joye eGo Mega kit and battery mods (I'm currently stuck with a 2008 Envy Bliss and they suck, even after having Envy replace my two models and am looking for something more practical and cheapish). My question is, if I bought the eGo MEGA starter kit and some cartomizers for it, then bought Ken's Box mod (says it's 510 compatible on the website), would the MEGA cartomizers be compatible with the box mod?

the atty's in that ego kit will work they use the regular 510 threads. How ever the Ego specific mega atty or carto would not work they use the larger threads the ego cone screws onto.

The standard 510 thread is on both the mega 510 and the eGo XL mega atomizers/cartomizers. The problem is that the connector on the box mod is too recessed to allow for the skirt of the XL atties. The second pic shows the eGo xl mega cartomizer on a standard 510.

The mega cartomizers have plastic that imitates the cone that comes with the ego kits. Yes, they will work on the mod but you will need an extention due to the plastic. I've used mine on my 510 passthroughs and they've worked fine. The battery end fits up in the cartomizer. Ken's mod doesn't allow for the extra plastic that hides the connector. You might be able to trim the excess flush to the body but don't know. I'm waiting on batteries for my big brother so I can't answer this any further that what I have already stated. I have a gooseneck for my 510 units that I may try it with to see if the cartomizers will work.

Ah, thanks for the info. Any idea where to get an extension for an XL eGo?
