How can you tell (driptips and attys)

Two questions here- I apologize. I am a newbie to General discussions and have read all the rules so here goes...
1. With a drip tip, how can you tell how many drops you are putting on the atomizer?? I see a lot of people on YouTube just kinda putting the bottle down in there and giving it a squeeze.

2. Does juice get all over your mouth occasionally? I would think it does

I'm really sorry if this thread doesnt belong here, I searched all subforums and forums and decided this must be the right place for it.

I hold the bottle just over the drip tip and count the drips. That works great.

Same as Brad. I try and make sure my tip is completely perpendicular and drip with the bottle maybe a half inch from the tip and count three drops (two, if the atty has been acting like it wants to flood and I haven't taken the time to blow it out yet).

Occasionally I mess up with a drop and see it slide down the inner wall of the tip (mine, btw, is a delrin from Super T). That errant drop is most likely to lead to a bit of juice-in-the mouth, which I don't consider a big deal. If I want to avoid it, I can wipe with a rolled up piece of tissue. Sometime I flick the outside of the tip with my thumbnail to try and knock the drop down, but I have no idea whether that helps.

I do the same as Brad. Also I do a quick blow into the tip after putting in the drops. I can actually hear the juice going all the way down the tip to the atty. Then I do a quick wipe off the tip with a tissue and no problems with juice in mouth. Oh and I'm using the brass and steel ones from Super T.

I do all of the above. 510 drip tips seem harder to get a perfect drop in, I find 801 drip tips work great though. I use both but a lot of the time ill just toss on an empty flat tip cart on my 510 for dripping and just remove it with my mouth. I rarely get juice in my mouth from the 801 but it happens fairly frequently on the 510 if I'm not careful.

Another question... I had braces in HS and now I have a permanent metal bar on the back of my bottom teeth... will it cause any kind of reaction if touched to that like aluminum foil does on fillings?

I cut the end off the condom for the 510 cartomizer , instant drip tip and no problems.
But I am using the Ego with the cone so it wont slide down too far.
The kr808 condoms are too short for this.

I hold my bottle a little above the drip tip so I can see the drops. I also put my pinky finger against the side of the drip tip in order to steady my hand. That makes aiming a lot easier.
