Hello, Juste received my protank and vivi nova and a bottle of malibu, and I have to say, vivi nova sucks!!!
Vivi nova is not airy at all! I have to suck really hard to get some vapor, even though, it does not produce much vapor. Not even better than my kanger t2.
On the other hand, protank is really nice, elegant, really really airy, I have for now tried ce4, kanger t2, evod, vivi nova, protank is the most airy one. t2 and evod are ok, good enough, but with vivi nova it is just too hard to get some good vapor.

Another thing I just realized is that my prokant came with a little rubber ring on the bottom side, if I scew the tank with it, I get almost the same thing as vivi nova, not airy at all, then I removed it, hell!! tuns of vape.

Am I doing something wrong with my vivi nova?? Do I need a beauty ring to make it work?

For information, all these clearos come from the same store and I believe they are all authentic, but on the vivi box, there is just vivi nova, no mark, no vision nor joyetech. All mounted on an ego standard bettery.

I read somewhere that noname vivi from fasttech has air issues, someone says they have to drill an air hole to make it work, hope I dont get a fake one(11euros a little bit much for a fake).

Update:
I demounted the vivi nova, tried it without bettery, it is ok, seems airhole is on the bottom and once screwed to the bettery it just gets stucked so no air.......

LOLLL everyone has their fave device and as long as you've found something that works really well that's all that matters. I prefer carto+ tank but for convenience and cost I enjoy the Vision Vivi Nova. Here's a pic to help you

For info - here's what the boxes look like that my Vision vivi novas come in:

I forget to check the side mark, will definitely check it out after work. Meanwhile, on their website it is marked "certificated vision vivi nova" for the product name, they are a big dealer in france, all other stuff I got from them are very good.

Yes there is an ohm mark on mine, I might figured out a reason, my battery is a standard ego 1300mAh, no vv mode, and my vivi has 2.4ohm head, too high for my bettery..shame fasttech still not delivered my vamo, cant try it on another device.
If it has a pin on the top of silcon cap it's a knockoff. Most with Vivi issues are using the knockoff. Vision is the genuine Vivi. Yes for an eGo that either fires at 3.3 or 3.7 volts 2.4 ohms gives a weak vape. FastTech sells the knockoff Vivi.
First remove Vivi, plug battery end with finger and suck- see if you're getting enuff air. If not try...
You could try taking a very fine scissors and "twirl" the point in the airhole to enlarge it a bit. Although not the same thing a friend had some cartos that had a very tight draw. This is what I suggested to him and it resolved his tight draw issue.
If you are not getting good draw it could be your battery post (on PV) has been pushed down.

If it says they are vision like that then they probably are. The air hole should be on the centre post part, up near the base. They usually work fine - you can use 510-510 adapter to lift the vivi nova up a bit if needed though.

The main reason that we like CE4's and Vivi Nova's is because they saved our butts last year when the quality of cartos went south for a few months. Those that started vaping during that period cut their teeth on clearos. To this day the eGo style battery and the Vivi Nova remain the most requested "first kit" at vape shops.

Yes the Nova has a flat bottom that can block air flow sometimes, the easy (as in cheap) fix is to grab a hack saw blade, and cut a small groove across the flat surface beside the connector. (grooves across the bottom are why your ProTank doesn't have the same problem)

Good to know, I also ordered a fake vivi nova from fasttech just to compare, if it does not work I will try your trick. thanks

U removed that rubber ring from around the bottom of your protank. I wondered what would happen if u did that

To be clear, it is a rubber ring outside the tank, not the plastic piece that sealed the tank, which is inside.
If you look at this picture:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/20/gude7ujy.jpg There was that white colored rubber ring around the airhole, that is what I removed.

I love my Mini Novas. I also love my Evods and quite like my Protank.

No vapour and no draw....something is wrong, either physically in the hardware or some issue with filling with the juice.

    Anyway, a 2.4ohm vivi nova on a 3.3v battery will be very weak. That's like 4.5 watts.....hardly better than a supermarket/petrol station e-cig.

4.5 watts.... Not good. I'd bet £10 if I put a 2.4 on my evic at 4.5 watts, I may as well give up vaping.
