How come the rubber cap doesn't melt when clearo head gets hot?

For the vivi nova head, there is a rubber tube/cap on the top of the heads. Sometimes, after chain vaping or dry burning, the metal on the head gets very hot, so how come the rubber doesn't melt?

Because it's silicone, which is stable at very high temperatures (250-300 celcius, typically.)

Exactly, it would take an open flame to burn, that being said try not to see how hot you can get it
