Is it possible to burn the silicone rubber tube that fits over some clearo heads?

My vivi nova has a silicone rubber cap that rest over the head, and it's pretty close to the heating coils. I wonder If it's possible to melt the rubber cap with the temperature that we vape at. BTW, what is a typical vaping temperature? How does it compare with a smoldering cig? Just out of curiosity, thanks

yes i have burned one i have on my iclear 30 i just lift it a bit and try to keep my wicks as wet a possible

The center of a cigarette cherry can be anywhere from 750-1300°F (400-700°C) according to this source. Much hotter than a clearo coil will ever be.
