How common is it to get counterfeit coils?

I'm asking because a few months ago, I ordered Aspire Atlantis coils, along with Horizon Arctic coils from a well known vape web-site, and the Arctic coils I got were counterfeit, according to the horizone web-site. The aspire atlantis coils were authentic.


Just now, I got in Aspire atlantis coils and arctic coils from a different well known vendor, and BOTH are authentic.


I was really surprised to get coils that were counterfeit, because of how well known the vendor is. Is this a widespread problem? Should I contact the vendor and let them know?
