A lot of mods already look like that, but I think that clip is pretty useful, although I'm sure it would annoy me later.

The first mod I built was fashioned from a 18650 flashlight that resembles the top/2nd from right pics shown. Dealextreme.com has some really cool flashlights and housings on the cheap to expensive side. I've bought a few there. I have a 3xAAA flashlight with 18500 init, now. It's twin is on my homework station, awaiting modification.

Yes, u guys guessed it right.
Don't the Mods / APVs, as they are now, remind us of pocket Flashlights?

I wonder at the similarities. In fact, aren't they just that, a battery tube, sans the bulb? There are some pretty cool looking Flashlights out there, how about some of those design concepts being introduced into our Mods / APVs?

Do u have any particular in mind?
Let's see your ideas, it'd be interesting and fun for everyone I'm sure...
