In 2010 there was talk of this new thing called e-cigarettes. I started with an ego, mah's were not advertised then, and cut down on analogs. Everything was basic, there was no variable voltage and that type of thing. After just cutting down on analogs I stopped completely after 35 years of smoking. I did not want to die of lung cancer. If it wasn't for ECF I would still be on analogs.

Welp, I'm a big time cigar smoker and have been for years. I'm not looking to quit cigars altogether but I would like to cut back. Problem is, they have become an integral part of many things I do and I don't want to give that up. So I am looking into vaping as an alternative. Ordered a Cohita 650 yesterday along with some W2V juice and I can't wait for it to come in so I can give it a go!

I had been wanting to quit for a long time. I had seen the Blu comercials on TV and didn't thing they would be any better than the chinese cigalikes from a few years ago. A B&M store opened less than a mile from home and I kept telling myself I would stop in there one day and look. Drove past it for a couple of months then finally one day stopped in. Sales girl explained the eGo twists and small selection of tanks they had there, handed me a battery, and told me to go try out the juices they had there on a table. Started trying juices until I had a nic buzz from hell. Walked out of there with some twists, Kanger T3's and a few bottles of juice. I haven't smoked since walking out the door.

got up to dipping a can a day and was looking for someway to cut that down drastically. Started poking around almost a month ago to see what the deal was with ecigs, researched a bit, bought a disposable off brand that lasted about 2 days and I only dipped a couple of times (I do like the burn), so even those disposables are expensive, it was less than 2 cans, couple days later went to some LA area vape shops and they were all out of anything but expensive s---, so a few days latter got what I've figured out is the equivalent of an 808 kit at the cig shop down the street, dug it, again had a can last me days and days and even with that was cheaper than 4 or 5 days worth of dipping. Got an ego a few days ago, and love it, have had the same can, still half full for 5 days or so.

I like that like a lipper I can vape throughout the day, not just go outside chain smoke a few and hope that nicotine buzz lasts until the next one. It's also nice that I've amassed a handful of flavors and so when I'm in the car I don't have to think, do I have dip for the weekend? etc It's been a nice change in potential wallet (more expensive the last couple weeks, but within a couple weeks should be in the black, even when I go get a carto tank set up) and convenience of having enough stuff sitting on my desk that it ain't like I'm running out tomorrow or making a trip to a place that has dip reasonably priced/right brand/fresh. Unfortunately it just doesn't match the lip burn nor the throwing in a lipper and going out and playing baseball or what not. But I've cut down to nearly a can a week, which is pretty sweet.

I tried a cigalike from a newsagents near by, puff.....puff....BIN, a while later my old man fell I'll from smoking and I had a look into it again online as a long shot and stumbled upon an ego, he trashed his 40 day habit without a second thought, then blah blah blah and now my entire family are stink free :) there were 7 smokers now none, my dad was on a jet ski today.....actually he wasn't but that's how I feel :)

I'd gone to my local smoke shop for my weekly carton (carton a week for 25 years) of cigarettes and saw what was an NJoy in the case. Asked the guy, what's this? He said it's an electronic cigarette. I said throw one of those in, too. That was over 2 years ago. I used to keep a pack in the fridge as security blanket and have the occasional analog. Last August, I went to Cleveland for my grandmother's 100 birthday and left my kit (juice, batteries, clearos, etc.) at my dad's. All I had was a 5ml Vision clearo on a 18650 battery for 5 days. I ended up smoking to get through ... taking the occasional hit off my PV. I even tried to find a B&M in Cleveland just so I could get some juice ... nothing within 50 miles. All I could think about the entire time was how much I HATED the analogs and wanted my PV. I haven't touch an analog since.

I moved to San Diego from Seattle and on my initial trip I had a layover in San Fran. I was so addicted, (30 mediums a day), that I bought an e-cig to hold me over. Smoked it in the airport and nobody said nothin. Got off the plane in SD, found a B&M and I haven't looked back. Almost 40 years of analogs and it was that easy to walk away, haven't craved one since. Smell better, feel better and got my girl to switch too... life is good.

I smoked almost two packs a day for almost fifteen years. I lost my Dad, and two Uncles from cancer. When my Brother, Sister and Aunt were all diagnosed inside a year, I tried every alternative from having nightmares with the patch to gum to toothpicks, and had only frustration and the prospect of a possibly horrible death or at least months of suffering from chemo poisoning instead of hope. So I decided to try the Ego after I was impressed by a friends, and after fifteen years of smoking, it only took one month, and I have been smoke free for 8 and will continue to be. Not only is the second and third hand smoke no longer harming my pets and friends, to the point of cancer, now my life doesn't reek like an ashtray; I can smell again, taste again, and I'm no longer spending $400 a month on cigarettes!! I LOVE MY VAPOR!!!!!

Smoked for four years, quit for four and up until recently had been smoking for another four. Been having this feeling like I should quit again but based off of past experience I knew I wouldn't unless I wanted to. Tried out my friends ecigs (mostly ego twists), and jumped online spending way more time than I anticipated here on ecf doing research.
After many hours of watching videos and reading a lot of the user input on the forums here, I decided to get a silver bullet and an aga-t. A couple of weeks go by and I'm such an advocate for it now. Been vaping for 4 months or so now and always thought I'd be chasing that "cigarette vape". Turns out when my batteries die and I bum a regular cigarette, I hate the thing - TH, flavor, feeling in the mouth, etc - and as much as I dig some of the tobaccos out there, I end up really liking quite a few of the bakery flavors.
So far switching to ecigs has been way better than I thought, wished I woulda done it sooner.

Smoked about 20 a day, quit a few time over the 18 years, but never quite stayed quit since i really enjoyed smoking. Finally decided to start vaping due to the cost of analogs, i get to still exhale vapor ;) and the best reasons i don't stink and can breath and taste. People constantly ask me if i am using the ecig to quit smoking. I laugh and say I quit smoking. They just don't understand.

I was a regular cigar smoker (I mean ~3 a week, plus B&M to hold me through) and decided to quit with my now fiance, who was a regular cigarette smoker. We were doing well, then many college months of barely able to make rent and only eating a can of refried beans a week with ramen in between, we stopped by a hookah lounge on my birthday and were immediately hooked. We went there a couple weeks before buying our own. Eventually, we moved, packed up the hookah and haven't touched it in over a year. I had a friend who vaped 0mg that he mixed himself (he now vapes 12mg, blame that on cigars and hookah) and he would experiment with flavors and my fiance and I would be the guinea pig. Eventually, when life got tough, and I needed a little bit of help, vaping seemed more acceptable than drinking. Eventually, I got into the flavors and the whole idea of wanting all these add ons. It was like hookah, only I could carry it with me and I didn't get y old high school dip mouth.
